Am i missing something, this is the first sniper right? For me its dogsht! super slow velocity and fire rate. I have been sniping for years on every BF game. But with this, I cant do anything. Headshots are super rare ( so often the bullets just seem to go through enemies) and with the slow fire rate, by the time you get the first shot in , they are back in cover..

This is my first battlefield game and trying to figure out bullet velocity is difficult for me. Plus I play on a small laptop screen so I’m always appalled at how people can spot enemies so fast. After having used both the sniper rifles, I always prefered the SWS. I never understood why everyone was saying to use the DXR. It feels so clunky and the magazine size makes constantly having to reload an absolute pain.

@@wayfastwhitey45 The SWS with any high magnification scope would lose all magnification is you used any other gadget/ability and would have to switch to a none magnified scope, look through that scope then switch back

@@NinjaRemake yep you have to switch scope, zoom, then switch back, to fix in the middle of play. If you're CQB or close medium, you pretty much have to wipe the area before you do that or you're gone. Not ideal

I like how DICE actually nailed the snipers (I know it is hard to compliment DICE at this moment). SWS-10 is like your classic squad sniper where you follow your squad and pick off people at short to medium distance. DXR is like dedicated anti-personal sniper where you roam and pick people off over a long distance. NTW is a classic anti-material rifle where you focus on vehicles instead of personals because the round is so powerful.

I like the DXR with a suppressor and that Maul optic i think it's called the one with 3x and 1x red dot you can switch between.. Extended mag makes it basically silent, legit just a click when you fire, high powered slightly louder but suppressor doesn't take much away if you're playing on or around objectives, I have the 8x and long barrel if I need some extended range but most of the time the 3x is good enough and I love being able to just press F and switch between 1-3x zoom without replacing the whole scope 😁

Alternate sniper rifle choice, the GVT lever action for short and medium(200m) range. Super fast reload speed so you can easily just body a guy twice in the open gaps and it is always still a 1 head shot kill too!

ya figure the gap in containers like in other BF radar dome are bulletproof. so shooting thru them is possible. if you down a bird (helo) with sniper rifle

If you were playing warzone, you'll feel right at home with this sniper. Long barrel+8x scope+extended mag IS the setup. Had been using it since I first started playing and hasn't given up sniping.

I found the DXR to be a bit difficult to handle compared to the lighter SWS. Moving shots were harder to hit on the DXR and i think the SWS has a faster rate of fire(?)

That sniper rifle has more drop, but it did feel like the shots/headshots hit WAY WAY WAY MORE often. Maybe its like basketball... You got more of a ARC so its easier to get a SWISH.... Or the bullet is fatter, or the hit reg is stronger with it

I think that what DICE is trying to do with all these weapons is creating a sub-category in what playstyle they're suited for. I really like the SWS-10 because just as how it's described it's the most versatile sniper you can use (and I think the Long Range description means that it's max effective range is 150m) since being able to change my barrel, ammo, and sight to suit the range I'm engaging in is very helpful to my gameplay and letting me stick to that weapon then being forced to switch. This battlefield seems to make the strengths and weakness of each weapon way more apparent despite the added customization available. P.S. try using the short barrel with the close combat ammo, It'll improve close range (50m) gunplay in a dramatic way and even more is you have a close range sight

@stodeh i hope you can read my comment ; for me the best sniping weapons is the NTW -50 ( i got over than 1200 kills with it, it remember me of the martini henry ) , but there is a big issue with it when u use it , you will be marked in the map over than 1 min and you will notice that planes will focus you directly cuz they saw a big red point on the map :( and i hope that dice will correct it soon .

Most important thing in sniping is keeping it calm, don't try to flick every shot, most of your targets have no idea about that someone is aiming at them.

I leveled the DXR but I always use the SWS because its just way more viable and versatile. Plus bullet velocity is so much easier to predict and use on moving targets for me.

Long range is just as satisfying imo. I like breakaway, shooting people on the oil rig from E1 is the ultimate satisfaction shot lol.. you need atleast the 8x scope though targets are tiny even at 10x 🤣

Imo, NTW is best for close range even with the amount of people running armor its still doable and be able to scare off vehicles or even kill them is just a blessing. Otherwise I prefer the DXR on mid-long range cuz I just cant befriend myself with the bullet velocity and dropoff on the SWS. Maybe I just got already too used to DXR idk. Ima try the SWS again but the overall best experience is actually the NTW cuz its just satisfying not seeing 50 hovercrafts on ur screen
