I've owned a Stoeger SXS shotgun for 15 years. Can honestly say it was one of my favorite guns and was strong, tough and reliable. I've shot thousands of rounds out of it for sporting clays, bird hunting, buckshot and slugs. It feels great in the hands and has lasted for 15 years. I shot so many rounds one day a piece of the stock broke off by the receiver. I then had the stock replaced with a synthetic stock. Since then little things have been breaking every so often (firing pin, forearm comes loose, gun jams and the receiver wont open)...so time to hang it up. So if you're looking to get 10-15 years from a gun, this is a good one. And to buy a new one again doesn't break the bank.

Those 30 inch barrels are great, unless you field hunt from a layout blind like I do. longer barrels tend to be more cumbersome in that situation for me. My current gun has a 28 inch barrel, I almost feel like I need one of your coach guns in my blind, haha:-)

Too bad it doesn't have double triggers. Seems like no one ever makes the gun I want. Looks awesome! Just needs double triggers... and to be American made.

MultiMrNoone - The CZ Mallard o/u comes with 2 triggers, left trigger for upper barrel and right trigger for lower barrel,,,,, available in 12 & 20 gauge shotguns.

Personally think double triggers are ugly and useless but I see the majority of side by sides and o/u are made with double triggers so not sure how you can't find one

Hello, I recently got one these shotguns but am unable to find any chokes to fit it besides the one that came with the gun. If anyone has any information on what chokes are interchangeable I would really appreciate it.

my perfect side by side double triggers(pull both at the same time if needed) strong thick steel (weight does not matter much around the 8-12 pound mark is good)i want something that will last and weight to a gun makes it kick less so good for follow up shots 30 inc barrel (because you want something to reach out there if needed)(i go squirrel hunting and at times there 40 +- yards up) strong wood(wood that does not crack or bust when shooting real hot and heavy rounds through it) both barrels built for modified choke(i feel like modified is a good mix for short and long range)or could go right barrel modified and left side full dont feel wobbly( i want it to feel well made like everything is a good tight fit ) would pay $800 rambling strong firing pins and springs when shooting hot rounds or overtime the top lever moves to the left side of most guns instead of it being in the center

A 30 inch barrel might be a bit cumbersome. I'm sure you could make it work but not a great first choice.

Overunder are more rigid and have less recoil but from my experience are heavier and Side by Side are more reliable
