Keep in mind you can outline rooftops with wire for an antenna for long range transmission under non permissive environments. Run the connection down the inside of a drainage pipe capped off and leave it dangling. Make your transmission and leave. It doesn't hurt to learn how to code messaging or use morse.

Hit the Like button 🎉 Write a comment ✍️ Push the channel up the algorithm ⚡️ I don’t need no stink'n communications, I'm in my echo chamber 😊 What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. 😮

In history, in less than free and open societies, pen/pencil/paper were employed. Dead drop messages leave no electronic trail. Book code, which is created by referencing the words and/or letters in it to make your own sentences. People reading your code will only see numbers. The numbers can be freely displayed. Written ideas, opinions, propositions, essays, books, treatises, letters, can be passed covertly hand to hand, copied and disseminated discreetly. With all the "must have", "hoard this", I never see, pen/pencil/paper/typewriter/printer/ink, just a personal pet peeve 😊

Maybe let it go? There's a reason you don't see those things in preparation lists. People employing them don't broadcast their list. It's called signal discipline.

Great Video! good explanation for beginers about the Pace plan and examples of how to use it. You would be surprised what you can do with digital over HF at 5w. you can also send sitrep or statrep over 2m digital local nets very effectively. Comms is a diminishing skill you need to practice regularly to stay on top of it and new modes and technology! 73

3:44 There are remote web SDRs all over the place. If they can't hear what you're saying it's down to indifference and obscurity rather than technical inability. Probably best to avid trigger words or phrases too these days - might be a computer listening. Either way, great video. Definitely makes me want to sure up my comms plans. Cheers.

I was looking at old field radios just yesterday. They're expensive as collectors' items. I haven't gotten a quote on new manufacturing of things like a TA-1/PT or TA-312. Mostly because I don't want endless emails. Commo wire is cheap. $80 per kilometer. There's an Amazon one that could work for about $50. On a 60 ohm wire, you can get about 10 km without a boost. If you're smart enough, you can build one out of old landline telephones or from components. While "secure" as a point to point, those points are static and must be occupied. The biggest advantage? Low power consumption that can be extended through refining the PACE plan for designated hours of communication. Biggest disadvantages? Maintaining the wire and if someone finds it, they can follow it. That's where junctions, fake leads, and booby traps come in. But, it'll never get to that.

Field radios should be used for homes or other things like that ONLY... the days of fixed defenses are over, especially for partisans, gorilla etc... speed is security.. it's 2024 if your static long enough to set up field phones your gonna get got real soon
