The orangutan baby Clarita has been through an ordeal, after being snatched by a male orangutan from her mother Clara. The caretakers make an attempt to reunite mother and daughter.

good boy! excited for the human caregiver. The emotion comes from the union between mother and child. Shame is keeping these animals in cages and taking the puppies away and giving them back to their mothers as if nature couldn't do the job it's been doing for millions of years! The man really sucks.

@@theother1406 that’s a really stupid comment: none of the crap is even close to the cage because it’s raised up, everything falls through, so they are not in any way, sitting in their own crap. The only thing at the bottom of the cage is leaves, which is appropriate.

I'm so glad that the precious baby was successfully returned to her mama, who wanted her so much and was so tender while cuddling her! Also loved seeing the other baby orangs in care, being served their watermelon snacks before bedtime. Thanks for tending so devotedly to this important salvation!

The reason they are so much like humans is because they are biologically classified as primates just like we are. 200+ species of monkeys and all apes share 90%-98% of the same DNA as ours. That's what makes them so similar to us and also makes them the most detrimental animal to steal from their birth mothers. Anyone caught with a baby primate and doesn't give them to a reputable rescue organization needs to be prosecuted (fines and jail time)!

These are the most amazing babies I've seen. They are the sweetest species and I think the best personalities. They are cute as can be and they often have bad hair days. Thank God they act so much better than those mouthy, tantrum throwing Macaque monkeys. These guys act so much better & in my opinion they are high class wild animals. They are very smart and tend to act like little comedians! I love watching them because you will never have a day of being bored!

Ìt was a male orangutan. Unfortunately this happens sometimes in the primate world. I've seen it with chimps and gorillas. I don't believe it's malicious. I believe the big males truly love the babies , they just can't feed them and then they die. It's very sad when it happens tho

Male primates will also kidnap babies in order to gain reproductive access to the mom. If he love the baby he wouldn't have given her up or let the people take her. Male primates are bigger, faster, and much harder to handle than the females.

Those were some tense moments for the caregivers reuniting Clarita with her mom. The relief and happiness must have been fantastic. So sweet. The little one who examined the injection site was so cute....hey! owie! And I'm sure Rona was told how lovely she was with her watermelon hairdo. 😅 They are so much like us ❤

I agree with Clara's keeper. I sensed absolutely NO aggression or hostility in Clara as the saw her daughter. If anything, she was curious and very gentle. The way she caressed her daughter's head was almost protective....like she knew instinctively "this is MY baby". And then, when they opened the cage and returned the little one to her and she held her baby, you could CLEARLY see the mother-love shining in Clara's eyes as she held her baby. And she immediately let her baby nurse. It was like she was saying "I got this now. She's mine". I am glad mother and daughter are reunited. Its like, they had both endured a very traumatic ordeal. Baby had been torn from Mom's arms by the male Orangutan....they are both suffering from a painful rash. But as soon as precious little Clarita is back in Mommy's arms, she was perfectly happy. She knew she was safe. You could feel the love emanating from both of them in this moment.
