Luke I told you at the Shaw Classic how I lost my brother last year. He was my big brother, about the size of Tom too. Just love the relationship you guys have and your openness to share your emotions with us. Your bond with Tom helps me cope with my loss and somehow helps me appreciate my brother more. Your videos give me so much comfort somehow. Especially cool bringing Harry into the mix to add to that brotherly love. I feel like I’m part of your family from another mother. Cheers boys 🍻 🌶

Sorry for your loss, Jon. Never easy to lose a loved one and remember, there is no time limit on grief. Time is also not a healer (as they say), nothing can heal that pain, time just allows us to cope with the loss better and I hope your time is swift in that process.

The rolling you did to Harry was popularized by powerlifter Donnie Thompson. He dubbed it Body Tempering. Works wondering on my adductors and quads.

16:00 I like how narrow his stance is for his squat. Back in the day in like 2014 2015 I remember my stance was narrow like yours too. It widened out as time went on. And I prefer a flat shoes. I was using the Reebok power lifting shoes that are flat with a wide toe, and you can take out the inner sole to remove the cushions and get you closer to the ground.

10:40 Deficit deadlifts are a part of Ed Coan’s back day when he does deadlifts. His powerlifting training regimen is the only one I’ve ever used. And I always deficit deadlift, and I always got stronger the longer I used the routine. This is off-topic but another uncommon/common to some people press is the behind the neck overhead press. Which Ed Coan would do all the time too. Mike O’Hearns video where he was talking about that behind the neck press and it seem like they thought it was one of those very seldom scene and used presses. Almost like they wanted to bring it back

Hurt my back back in the 80s. The only way to heal is to rest it. As a hard working carpenter i spent the next 20 years being more careful, but the back did act up a lot.. Rest. Tighten your stomach as hard as you can when you lift anything below your waist.

Hey guys, I love your intro, it would be super funny that when the super inspirational pumped up music is playing it shows tom and luke being monsters, then you splice in Harley doing comically low weight, like deadlifting a 5 kilo on each side and playing goofy music. keep it up guys!
@isyt12 жыл бұрын
Look after your back folks, please! It’s serious business. It only takes one slipped disc and you’re screwed for life. They say I’m not a candidate for surgery so I’m on about 10 prescription pills a day, along with back injections and can’t work anymore due to the pain and exhaustion from the meds. Also have no feeling in one foot and struggle to urinate. It’s quite pathetic but this is all from carrying a fairly light box up some stairs one time the wrong way and it just went ping.

Stretch your quads man; you got to have flexibility in your legs. You’re gonna be stretching non stop for the next two years man. I bet you can’t touch your toes? How flexible are your quads? I bet your extremely tight from your calves, quads, hamstrings, inner thigh, groin, glutes, and lower back. sit down with one leg out and one leg back, creating a 90 degree angle with your leg and opposite knee; now bend forward toward your knee, hold it bend forward between your legs and hold it, then try to to touch your toes with your rear hand. Sometimes I stretch for hours at a time. My right hip is the one that’s a little messed up. I also love decompressing my spine. That’s how I relieve my back pain. I also stretch my hamstrings by grabbing my toes and pulling my self down, and it always pops my ‘upper back’.
