When Scott Weiland passed, I played this song on repeat. I was thinking "damn Chester must be devestated", now they are both gone. Just heartbroken and sad #RIPChesterBennington #RIPScottWeiland #Wonderful

The more I re-listen to STP, the more I realize Robert DeLeo was the most underrated composer of the grunge era. His masterful pop sensibility mixed with his respect for the oldies plus a sprinkle of jazz combined with Scott's heartbreaking voice and mournful lyrics made for something very, very special.

I saw STP do this live with Chester the same year during the Family Values tour. In my opinion, this was one of their better songs and one of the many that showed how great of a songwriter Scott Weiland was. Stone Temple Pilots will always be one of my favorite bands all time.

I was at this 2001 family values tour show in NJ and STP was just on fire that night. Halfway through the set the stage turned around in typical Scott Weiland style to reveal couches, candles, rugs and incense. They played an acoustic set including one with Chester. I hope they can both find peace. Interesting side note: That show consisted of Static X, Staind, Linkin park and STP. 3 out of 4 of those lead singers would die young...Only Aaron Lewis is still alive.

Elliot Burack saw them on this tour in Indianapolis, IN. Yeah, I kind of liked Staind and Linkin Park back around this time but not as much as STP. Was and still am a diehard fan of ‘em (well, sadly of the Weiland era only) BUT anyway, yeah STP seemed to put on the best performance that night. I mean, just flat out rocked the house down with that performance they put on! Remember though that Powerman 5000 was the first group that went on though making it five groups on that part of the Family Values tour not just four.

This is Scott and Chester. At the begining is just Scott. They join to sing "that you wouldn't have" and "a place we could hide". They sing together the full chorus. Your can clearly hear Chester's voice at "moving on". Scott sings alone "Know you'll be safe but not alone". On the second verse, Chester sings the "uhhuus", "all that I had", "a little too thin". At the solo, the "aaahaas uuuhh" is just Scott :)

It was later confirmed by the band's management this was not true: "Wonderful was never actually recorded live with him, just in a studio (the fan noise you hear on the Family Values CD was added in later)."[3] Besides being completely recorded in the studio, the song was recorded after the Family Values Tour, possibly in 2002 since that's when Scott first started to sing "Aaaahhh-Ahhh" over the solo. Linkinpedia source.

@@rosanna358 linkinpedia is a fan site, not officially affiliated with Linkin Park, and not run by their management. It's not an official source, don't use it as such. Not to mention, there are too many people in this comment section saying they saw this performed live during the tour for all of them to be lying, and in an interview (from the time Chester was in STP) Dean Deleo talked about this tour and said "Chester would come out and play A COUPLE OF SONGS with us"- meaning, 2 songs- Dead & Bloated and this one.

People have to ask how Men who suffer the same kind of life as them can be helped. Its tragic to know that they felt so hurt and nothing could be done to help. Sends a shiver down your back when you hear them together. Amazing Stuff. Sad to know how both would leave us untimely. And Chris Cornell's death played a part in Chester's mindset. Some of our Generations best and the loss is ours. I'd have loved to see them together! Just glad we have the music to remember them by . God Bless them all. They may be. gone, But Not Forgotten.😔 📢🎧
