I slept in front of The House of Blues 15 years ago to be the first one inline to buy tickets to this show. It is till this day the best show I have ever been to. Every single time I look at this video it brings me back to a 19 year old girl standing for 2 hours in the front row waiting for the band to come on stage and when they did my life was never the same. I love STP (Scott Weiland) with all my heart and will forever be my favorite band of all fucking time.

It's kinda like taking the "Beat" out of the "Beatles", he could play piano and guitar, he was a member of his High School band, so I'm sure he could play other instruments, particularly horns. And I agree with you, they aren't going to replace him. His lyrics challenge any other's; he wrote from the heart.

Scott should also be judged for being a nice and good person as well. Yea he did drugs. So fucking what. That doesnt make anyone a bad person in itself. Ive never heard stories of Scott being really mean or abusive. Yea he had little stupid little tiffs with the band or fans . The meet and greet where he wasnt exactly thrilled to be there he said some things jokingly and it was taken bad by fans he apologized the next day for im his words being in his words an asshole. But he wasnt feeling well and sooo tired from touring alot. The domestic violence with wife Mary she stated he didnt hurt her or attack her. She attacked him as he was trying to get vicodin filled. He picked her up and turned and put her down so he cohld get thru the door. Her dumbass calls police saying he hit her to stop him from taking vicodin.... Really? Thats stupid of her but whatever. Dean DeLeo talking and giving Scott shit for doing drugs and all turns out was also an addict and beat his wife and son. Tried to kill himself in the garage and his wife found him and woke him up and he started screaming and choking her.... But yea if you do drugs you are outta the band....the band you made

In their prime STP were the absolute best live, Weiland's vocals were earth shattering with so much power and his uncanny ability to change his voice. Robert Deleo's bass playing is perfect and so is his brother Dean's guitar playing. Eric's drumming is killer, they were just an incredible band, with perfect songs and perfect execution. Especially given the task of playing songs live that had several guitar parts on the studio recordings, they really pulled it off well. Scott was the coolest ever with his swagger and rock star outfits, you throw in that voice...whew, it just makes me incredibly sad, but grateful to have been around for this amazing band. R.I.P. Love tiny music. Scott came up with the guitar part for it. They tell a story of Scott learning 2 chords on guitar and every time they were together played these 2 chords (not so well allegedly the DeLeos said) and with pure conviction and enthusiasm and genius that was Tumble in the Rough. I also really like Art School Girl . So different from any other song. Scotts voice was different in 2 ways . the verses then the chorus in that manic, screaming voice. Also check out Mockingbird Girl from Tank Girl Soundtrack . With the magnificent bastards not his solo cd. It is soooo good. His voice is different. At one point he has a really raspy almost hoarse Kurt Cobain, Bruce Springsteen, and Mike Ness from Social Distortion. A band scott liked when he was younger and beyond. Very hoarse, raspy, not screaming but almost. Again different but sooo good

I'll never forget December 6th 1996 at the Omni in Atlanta, Ga. was my very first rock concert and Tiny had just come out. The lights went out and I grabbed my date by the hand running from the concessions stands into the seats to get as close as possible to the lower level my tickets were for nosebleed section and saw so many empty seats in one section I had seen earlier in the evening and they opened with Tumble in the Rough. Just a shame the way things go but watching Scott is a pleasure. Just a wonderful frontman...Jagger, Bowie, Plant, Hutchence, and Wieland. I saw them 3 times with Scott at the helm since Shangri-la and wish I made it to this tour...he was different every tour and even messed up he was so much fun to watch...don't get me wrong, the other guys are just as important but he was just so clear this show...unforgettable...he was just so into it and wanted rock n roll to be king again with all the bad music out at the time...this show should have been DVD'D and released officially...that's my one problem with this band's management...they never put any good concerts out for the fans...thank god for youtube...I just bought a megaphone for some fun around the house with Scott impersonations...it's so much fun.
