+Duke Spubber I believe a major part of that is because he said the movie was more boring and that it was well shot and the female lead was great. Really the worst things about it were it wasn't sexy and the male lead was god awful. But I feel if he were one of those people who are really into BDSM beyond just a fun thing to try or watch, they'd be insulted with how it's portrayed in it.

Most film critics don't have to see every single film release over the course of a given year. They usually just hit the wide releases since that's what most people want to read. Nobody going to see a Christian film opening day is checking Rotten Tomatoes.

I agree 100% about War Room being morally irresponsible and repugnant. I want to preface by saying this is a dangerous "remedy" for any gender, dating any gender, but it's particularly dangerous for women dating men, where as some of us have spent years trying to convince other women (and ourselves) that we aren't *indebted* to men no matter how bad they treat us. that we have agency to speak out. that we have autonomy to LEAVE if we can. Movies like this are a huge spit in the face of that. I say this as a woman and a Christian that if I'm worried about a man being abusive or unfaithful to me, I'm not going to passively pray that just works itself out. What an awful message. Thank you for calling that out.

I'm still horrified to my core that SO many woman in my mom's group loved War Room. I'm not even kidding o_0 even to the point of recommending it to other people and talking about appreciating it's "message".

Oh, honey please find new friends. That movie... I have never been that angry at a movie in my life! I have never seen a movie so insultingly offensive. Don't get me wrong, God's Not Dead is horribly offensive to anyone who is not a white Christian, but War Room is a movie that if you were to follow it's backwards as heck message: you would get freaking killed! And for me, it's not the type of language that was used throughout the film, it's the fact it is trying actively to tell you that if you get a divorce, you will go to Hell. If I ever meet the person responsible for this movie's existence, I will punch a hole through their teeth. If I hadn't convinced my mother to get a divorce, she would be freaking dead right now. I take this kind of thing very seriously. Even if you are able to look past all of the audience-insulting bull that it gives: it is, at the absolute core, a movie about a character who has a serious problem, there's only one logical solution, and they are doing everything in their power to not use that solution. It doesn't get any dumber than that.
@superkamiguru4615
@superkamiguru4615 8 жыл бұрын
+Shwah Gamers exactly! I'm just baffled that so many people bought into that! If you're having real problems in your marriage or ANYTHINg really, you should never just be complacent and pray. It takes more than that! Divorce is something that is necessary sometimes and should not be condemned to such a degree. Do I think it's overused? Absolutely! But sometimes people change or find out their spouse is abusive or such. This reminds me of that movie mom's night out where one of the mom's literally is depressed and has horrible anxiety but ol trace Adkins tells her is she just needs Jesus. Ok fine a lot of people find comfort in that of course but give her a number to a therapist too at least!
@shwahgamer
@shwahgamer 8 жыл бұрын
+Ashley Moure According to the bible, divorce is a sin, but it's ok to get one if your spouse is being outright rude. Technically speaking the movie's logic falls in on itself because the husband IS doing exactly that. But this is coming from a book that also says that if a woman is raped, she should be forced to marry her rapist. In short, the Bible is the absolute worst place to go to for marriage advice. And my mother is a devoted Christian! She honestly thought she could make it work with my step-dad, but every time he said he would change, he stayed the same. And I could not be more thankful that my little sister will never have to know what her father was like. (we have different fathers)

I guess it's my good luck that I have not seen these movies but they have not been (if ever) released here so that's also a damn good reason. Because I have not seen so many real awful movies in 2015 I just list my five worst movies: 1. Guess who's back (German original title: Er ist wieder da) 2. The Interview (sorry but I was too disappointed and not-laughing) 3. 13 Minutes (German original title: Elser) 4. Pixels 5. The Good Dinosaur

what Brad said about War Room made me think of Teen Beach 2's ending. they used a Deus Ex Machina to solve the main couple's relationship problems rather than have them figure things out on their own. not to mention had one go through a personality overhaul (the girl) in order to make her more compatible with the guy. it's not just that the movie ended like this, but that any movie used that ending, it probably would have condemned it for me right there and then.

There are some christians who will tell a lot of people that they live in sin and they will go to hell, they are brave enough then, but I'd like to see a christian actually saying that shit at a funeral. When the person has lived their life, and everyone knows him there. And he goes out and sais: Our friend lived in sin his whole life and is now burning in hell. But they never say that!! They always say something nice, or something like: He made some mistakes but let's pray for God's forgiveness. If God can forgive why did you terrorize me with all your bullshit throughout my life. Be consistent, or shut up. (Your list was great by the way)

about Fant4stic: according to the original script, josh trank actually wanted to make a movie, that had the tone of a Marvel movie. but FOX just probably just wanted to make a cheap movie to keep the rights, so they rewrote it to be on a smaller scale. i guess then trank came up with the idea of a body-horror movie, which caused massive re-shots, since the studio thought the trank's version was too violent.

Surprised that Old Fashioned is listed as #3 on the list. But not too surprised that Dancing it's On as #1 since it is this year's Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas. Also I'm little curious that there wasn't a slot for all the comedy sequels to share with Vacation. But I understand since Vacation does seemed to be the breadwinner of the worst since it's supposed to be a sequel to a legendary comedy series National Lampoon's Vacation. But Wow! Both The Loft and Vacation are Below Unsullied and The Letters, that is epic.

Great list! Out of curiosity, are Dancin' it's On and War Room gonna be future Snob episodes? When they come out on DVD, of course. Also, if you answered this question in the video, I apologize.

Ok spoilers about Brad's number 1 below - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5rLaGuAf5xgetU There's the trailer. You'll see he is dead on about the reality show aspect. The audio is clearly ADR'ed as well. Everything he said is correct. This needs the full Rifftrax or whatever treatment.

A little late to the party, but my worst list is: 10. Insurgent 9. I Believe in Unicorns 8. Harbinger Down 7. Roboshark 6. Hits 5. 7 Days in Hell 4. Jurassic World 3. Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No (sorry, Ryan, but this time it just lost me) 2. Hot Girls Wanted 1. Amira and Sam I've already seen 2 movies from 2016 that were worse than anything on my 2015 list (Bling & Lamb) so it looks like I'm in for a more polarizing year this time.

@dave, the fantastic four was taking heavily from the first 5 years of the Stan Lee run where the the skrulls and other monster were actually for the time horrific and you'd see in 1960s horror films , even the thing looked horrific until a few years in

So, I looked at the cast for Dancin': it's on, and there aren't a whole lot of people who even made it that far. The only winner was Russel (The Captain). The only other recognizable name was Comfort, and the rest I don't even remember existing.

Fantastic four is a mess behind the scenes : fox changed the CG guy without telling the director, they took over editing from a guy that the director had trusted and had asked him to cut several action scenes and the director is on record saying he wanted to make a 2 hour film. It ended up an hour an half shit fest that was badly edited together. It's an Alien 3 situation. Now there's been rumors that Josh did some shit and uncooperative but the fact is we may have liked his movie more.

One good, newer Zombie movie, or I liked it at least is called The Battery. Good indie movie. And you can just kind of picture it happening in any of the other zombie movies or The Walking Dead. I mean it's not like some great epic movie, but if people want to watch an actual good zombie flick, I recommend it.

I was a huge Jem & the Holograms fan when I was about 7 years old or so. Had every doll and what not. When I heard they were making a movie a couple years ago, my first thought was "Who the hell is this for?" They sure as hell weren't making it for 35+ year old women. The target audience, which I'm guessing was supposed to be tweens and younger, would have no idea who Jem even is. She hasn't been on the radar in almost 30 years. I'm still baffled the movie got greenlit at all. The portion of people who liked it as kids and now have kids and might actually take them to this movie is so narrow... It's just a big ol' wtf any way you look at it.
