I have autism and Rain Man is much more thoughtful because it was modeled after a man who they thought had autism (it turns out 20 years later that doctors diagnosed the man with something else). Dustin Hoffman copied the man’s mannerisms in order to portray that severity of autism as accurately as possible. For someone with more severe autism, it is quite accurate.

I didn’t like the new Matrix, fights were really phoned in and story too. I would say though that I think most people would hate it even more if it was the movie Doug was hoping for xD haha he doesn’t like the first movie, so that’s what I base my guess on

Eternals is Doug’s second worst film of 2021? I love the film and it’s one of my favourite Marvel movies, though I can understand why it is very divisive. But 2nd worst? That’s too harsh.
@javieremoya2 жыл бұрын
I think I understand for Doug. Doug being exposed to many more films, seeing eternals take itself so seriously and attempt things that are not new to films (albeit some firsts for the MCU) is not groundbreaking or even remotely new/interesting. Marvel was known for reinventing the formula, and when it comes to bringing traditional film tactics…it does it at a mediocre level in my opinion.

Daniel Farands first movie job was as the writer of Halloween 666, a.k.a. Halloween Curse of Michael Myers.

He reminds us in every movie he writes all the way down to making the Chi Omega assault/massacre a loose "Halloween" sequel taking place inside Carey Mulligan's parents' house from "Promising Young Woman".

Oh dear God. I mean, Clint Eastwood directed "Unforgiven" after doing "Dirty Harry 4", so... you CAN go from the absolute worst to the best, but still... it's hard to see anything good coming from the writer of "Halloween 6". I mean, even Resurrection wasn't written out of history the way that movie was. Surely "Halloween Kills" can't be that bad?

I didn’t actually hate anything this year. I saw two technically bad movies; Mortal Kombat and Dear Evan Hansen. I have too much love for the music to hate DEH(I do prefer the original cast recording, and maybe my opinion on the film will worsen since I’m seeing it live soon. Hopefully the Evan on makeup won’t make him look like a melting grandpa,) and I had too much fun with Mortal Kombat. It was the excitement of seeing the fatalities on the big screen. There were two films I didn’t really like, but those are films I’ll acknowledge are good but aren’t really my thing; green knight and nightmare alley

I was hoping that Doug reviews Music as the Nostalgia Critic, and I also hope that he doesn't give Autism Speaks (the organisation that Sia worked with to help make the film) a shoutout on his Charity Shoutout that he gives at the end of his Nostalgia Critic videos considering how that organisation actually harms autistics than helps them, especially through all of those fear-mongering PSAs they gave out. Especially considering that Doug gave a shoutout to Next For Autism, an organisation that's exactly the same as Autism Speaks but not as well-known.

I fell bad that _American Siege_ exists. It's basic "Let's elder abuse Bruce Willis to squeeze out a little more cash before he dies or becomes non-functional." So, Hollywood has been told for years that people hate Hollywood condescension, stereotyping, and contempt. So do they _stop_ doing that? Nope, they make _Keren._
