Peter. Thank you! What a nice addition to the Parf Guide System. Mine is back ordered here in the states through Lee Valley, and this will make using it much easier. P.S. I was unable to back order the spring clamps for the Parf Guide System. I'm hopeful that Lee Valley will have them available soon. Cheers! Mark Hays, Utah

Thanks Peter - nice jolly tune at the end.

I'm glad you like the tune - I composed it myself as I am not allowed to use copyright material without a PA chit. So, for 15 seconds or so of music it is easier to busk it. Cheers. Peter

Hello Peter, thank you for your kind words. I wish I could say it's going well, but the opposite is true. Every day is a struggle to get through the day, the pain is so intense, 24 hours a day. I would love to do the things you do, but I'm all ready grateful that I can look at your videos. I hope to buy a PGS , it looks great, I want to build a folding outfeed table for my table saw. Thank you Peter and greetings from the Netherlands, it's get time that you get cycling again over here :-)

Hi Hen, I am sorry that things are tough at the moment. If you want to talk more about this send me a Private Message. We hope to be in The Netherlands in April or May for some more cycling. Take care. Peter

Every part of this video gave me some great ideas. Thank you so much for creating this video. Now I want to learn more about all the jigs you showed. I have subscribed and I will be studying your other videos. For example, I want to make safe and accurate cuts of small material with my SCMS.

I purchase Praf guide and used it to make my table for Inventables x-carve. It is extremely important to vacuum the high density fiber board, my bit did seized in the brass guide. My guess was I was not clearing the fiber... I was able to get it free and also add oil on occasion to keep it from seizing. I was surprised at how time consuming it was to drill the Praf holes for the 1000mm table... but I highly recommend this Praf drill guide it was great to have this capability to drill and setup a Festool like table for my x-carve. I am going to make this vacuum attachment to add to my Praf guide drill setup... for the Praf guide the foster / cutter bit seem to breakout on the back side of table, but if you drill on a backer board better results.
@NewBritWorkshop7 жыл бұрын
Hi Gregg, It takes a huge amount of extra time if you do not use a vacuum whist drilling those 20 mm holes. It can also damage the cutter. My little vacuum attachment is very easy to make and the plans are available free of charge but I need an email address in order to send them. The cutter is designed to create very little breakout and I wonder whether the combination of no vacuum and perhaps pushing too hard is causing you to need a backing board. I have never used a backing board and my 20 mm cutter has now done about 1,000 holes. Peter

This looks good. Can you send me the plans?
@NewBritWorkshop5 жыл бұрын
Hi Brad, In order to get plans or to contact me via email I need your email address. KZbin no longer has a private messaging service and so in order to get in touch you need to place a comment on this or any other video with your email address. The KZbin software should identify and send it to the spam folder for The New Brit Workshop. Nobody will be able to see your email address except you and me. I will then send you the plans and delete your comment so that it does not end up in the public domain. Were we to do this the other way around then my comment, with my email address, would appear for all the world to see. Please let me know which plans you need each time you get in touch. Peter

Hello Peter, I have purchased the Parf Guide system and I am looking forward to getting started to drill the holes for my bench top. You state in your video that you give away your plans free of charge if an email address is provided. To which email do I send my email address. Thank you in advance. I find your videos very educational and well done.

Hi Albert, KZbin have stopped private messaging but if you send a comment to a video with an email address it should get captured by the KZbin spam filter. I will be able to see it but nobody else will. I will send the plans and remove the comment in order to protect your email address. Peter
