You'd think Indiana Jones would be famous in-universe. But no, he's just an old man, hobbling around downtown with an eyepatch and a head full of memories from his exciting life, accidentally dropping his fry container into the mailbox. What a legend.

You'd be surprised what some Old Timers did when they were our age. I recall a story about how the Janitor at the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs in the '70s, was a MOH winner from WW2. Guy spent 30 years working there and never even mentioned it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Crawford

What he did was already half a century old by this point, its not really that surprising none of these modern people know of his deeds, remember the American government put his big discovery away in a warehouse and he lost the holy grail down a crack in the earth, what exactly what would he be famous for?

I thought Indy's slate was clean. Never thought he'd be sent to prison for common assault. After he leaves the prison, I wish they could have made a short where Indy goes to court to explain his actions and he tells the court a story of his adventure in Prague in 1917 which relates to Bureaucracy. After the story (which is out of point to court) Indy is given the verdict not-guilty of common assault because a medical certificate reveals the man is in perfect health and uninjured.

I hope that in Indiana Jones 5 will have a scene showing how Indiana Jones got the injury causing him to need his eyepatch. I am guessing he will get in a fight with the big boss guy that appears in every movie and get punched in the eye and have a eye injury. My second guess in that in the vehicle chase scene something will fly up or broken glass will get in his eye.

These moments with Old Indy are good fun but they're also very contemporary and clash with the tone of the story that is historical in nature. Not to mention jumping from the early 90's then the 1910's and back again can be quite jarring for modern sensibilities watching in 2024 and beyond. George and his colleagues (it wasn't just George's decision based on interviews) thought it worked better without Old Indy. I tend to agree.

KirKanos08 They were removed to make the episodes join together more fluidly (and some chapters didn't have any bookends at all). Taking them out was done in the late '90s for the VHS series, long before the DVDs were released. Plus, it was Lucas' idea to put them in the TV show in the 1st place.

Hope that someday Harrison Ford will make new bookends. Some episodes just were much better with them, made them more striking. I have nothing against George Hall, it's just that i don't think Indiana Jones would be a rambling old geezer that some people dont want to listen to. If Indiana Jones told a story, people WOULD listen and be amazed. Maybe new bookends with Indy telling stories to his grandchildren would do the trick. I do miss the bookends from "London 1916" and "St Petersburg". those were good.

Until Miguel O'Hara from the Year 2099 goes Canon Event on George Hall.

Eh. I kinda disagree. I’d rather have Dial of Destiny Indy then Indy being the old guy who has to tell everyone his business and stories just to relive how at one point he was “so great”. To me an older Indy would just keep that stuff to himself. Not blabbing to everyone.

I wish Lucasfilm & Harrison Ford watch his scene out of Respect for the late George Hall.

Compare to being arrested for suspected as a Russia spy or frame for murder, Assaulting a Donut guy is nothing in America soil.

The late George Hall was Canadian, hence the accent.

@@StooTVI wish Harrison speaks in a Canadian Accent to match the late George Hall in Dial of Destiny.

Kathleen nuke his Footage like she did with Star Wars' Expanded Universe Media, in favor on pushing her NEW Protagonist in the Spotlight.

It’s kinda Canon we could say Mutt married early and have daughters name Caroline before he died which is why Marion came back to Indy when she found out other than Her daughter Sophie finally convincing her to come back as for the eye Indy might have a infection which need face surgery but blind in the right in the process.

A weird grumpy pirate indiana jones-grandpa. Directed by the stuntman of the Indiana Jones trilogy. It's so not cool, there are no words.
