“Stop And Search Will Reduce Knife Crime, No Doubt About It” | Ex-Met Officer

Policing minister Chris Philp has called on forces to increase the use of stop and search as part of a “robust approach” to tackle knife crime.
Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Mr Philp described stop and search as a “vital tool” which is “not used nearly often enough”.
Former Met Police officer Roy Ramm joins Jeremy Kyle to discuss weather the police should use stop and search powers to halt knife crimes.

New officers are scared to stop and search through fear of being disciplined. This is why a staff survey went out asking officers specifically about issues they have with stop and search. The scrutiny that officers face is stifling to the point it’s easier for them to avoid it altogether. There needs to be a roll back of culture so Police can act more robustly without fear of disciplinary action.

less thought for criminals more safety for the public stop been scared to get called racist or thinking about hurting feelings cos they don't care about anyone only getting what they want kids feel entitled to everything wont work for it ,if we don't start doing not just talking about it start good old policing show kids they should be scared and respect the police 👮‍♀️

When they brought in 5 years in the slammer for caring a gun , That was not long in reducing gun crime , So guess what how about auto 2 years for having a knife , But then again where are they going to put the offenders , (No space)

@@BlueSteel331 Trust? Take a look at serving police officers conduct & disciplinary action. The numbers are staggering. The UK operates the death penalty. It's called the police with guns & tasers. You cite trust? Not a week goes by when a councillor isn't convicted of something somewhere in the country. Research how many political figures have got convictions for child sex offences. Trust in public life disappeared decades ago.
