Good advice, even better, never be nice to toxic people.

Me as well I go to work happy and enjoy what I do. I’m nice and respectful but my ASM treats me disrespectful and unkind. I allow her to drain my energy. I’m so overwhelmed and thinking of leaving my job that I love 😢

Thank God for leading me to this inspirational speech on sth that I have been thinking of, a huge change and transformation in my life journey. Though being aware of it, it takes persistence to practice it as the hardwired old personality of tending to be agreeable to others is rooted so deeply over the course of my life... 2025, let's welcome the changes and grow into a stronger person free from self sacrifice and free to be ourselves!

I will be nice as that is me and my upbringing! Having said that I do put myself first always and hence I never want to confront him and if we ever cross each other’s path I ll not even recognize him! If I make my mind , even God cannot change me!

I put up a boundary and didn’t answer a question which was none of a work mates business and he screamed arose the office I was an emotional parasite who never said anything ,I was shy and took my time before warming up to people,no people just want to gossip, and they certainly did.

The general theme seems to line up with Simon’s, world view but, Simon doesn’t ramble on this long repeating himself over and over again without laying out over a half dozen real life illustrations to drive the message home. Nice observation, Juan.
