I needed this vid. I'm 19 and I scroll through social media comparing myself to my former high school classmates ALL the time. Most of them go to universities while I'm just in a small community college. They post pics of the parties they're attending and hanging out with friends while I'm alone in my room at my parents house doing homework and projects. They have nice 2016 models of cars as graduation presents while I'm busting my ass at work just to get a used car because I have to rely on a public bus to get me to where I need to go. It depresses me so much. Most of them have boyfriends/girlfriends, babies on the way and marriages while I struggle to even get looks from a guy. I try not to but it sucks. Girls with killer bodies, long hair, boyfriends and children, and having better stuff than me enrage me because how can they be so blessed while I'm just a pile of shit? This vid helped with my insight, but it's clear I still have a long way to go...

Let me tell you.. I compared myself to other girls all the time. I always felt inferior. I was bullied for things like being pale, my nose, and even the size of my head. I wasn't the smartest either and I was horrible at sports. But when I felt like nothing I realized I needed to get up and so I prayed God would help me and he honestly did. And on the end, I've been told by a bunch of girls who told me they secretly all this time would have killed to look like me. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Someone out there's what's to be like you. Someone out there want so badly to have a roof over their head or money for the bus or a job. Stay strong girl

I've been struggling with comparing myself to other people, whether it be my friends or just people i find on social media. sometimes we just need to stop and think to ourselves everything we should be grateful about and all the things that make us unique and different from everyone else. we are all going at our own pace and our own paths and we all should work hard everyday to not become a better version of someone else, but a better version of ourselves.

imo we should compare ourselves to other people as long as it's healthy and doesn't take over our entire life in a negative way. it can push you to be a better person if you work for it. don't stop comparing yourself but learn from other people, keep comparing and learn that you have mistakes and you can fix them. ex i love dancing, i'm a dancer. i constantly compare myself to other dancers who are clearly better than me. that makes me wanna be more like them and in this case i find comparing myself to other people good. thanks love u good video tho.
