Assuming Broly starts as FPSSJ he wins. He has a much faster rate of growth and he is outright stated to be the strongest enemy in history. And yes, Jiren is an enemy, he is verbatim called an enemy in eposode titles and statements in the ToP. If we ignore promotional material sure Jiren has more steps in his scaling chain, but that doesn't inherently mean he's stronger than Broly who is just an unknown amount above Beerus.

Ok, so several problems. 1. The "He's not really an enemy" is pure semantics. When you have to become hyperliteral about specific wording of a statement, that's when you know that you're grasping at straws. 2. On top of that the statement of strongest enemy is backed up in the movie. Goku states that he believed his strength was reaching it's peak (Referring to his fight with Jiren.) But after meeting someone so much stronger that him (Broly) he's changed his mind. Which suggests once again that Broly is a far greater challenge than Jiren was. 3. The fact that fusion with ssj blue was considered the only way to stop Broly is also a testament to this. 4. Statements regarding beerus should just be ignored at this point. Because every single time he is compared to someone, he is even stronger than before. First he was only slightly stronger than ssj god. Then he was well above super saiyan blue, then he was compared to vegito and zamasu. Then he was weaker than Jiren. Then he is confident he can take out moro. Who is way stronger than Jiren. Do you see the problem?

Ok this video is flawed from the start. The anime and manga have two different powerscales and shouldn't be conflated with one another. In the anime Jiren is above Beerus and all the gods of destruction. In the manga Jiren is better at fighting than Belmond but in terms of power still weaker than him and Beerus. This evidenced by MUI Goku who in the anime surpasses Beerus but is weaker than him in the manga. If Broly is in the anime he's more powerful than Jiren by a huge margin as he is in the manga. Broly was already confirmed to be stronger than Jiren. And people forget. Fusion technique isn’t just Goku and Vegeta’s power levels combined but it’s their power levels combined with a MULTIPLIER. Gogeta in the movie in base is also more than likely equal to MUI goku or slightly weaker. Broly though he didn’t put up a fight for too long against Gogeta. They don’t understand how fusion actually works. Think about Vegito back in DBZ-Goku could only go SSJ3, which was weaker than Mystic Gohan and Super Buu, and Vegeta maxed out at SSJ2 which way weaker. But when they fused, their power got combined and boosted. Base Vegito back then was already stronger than Super Buu with Mystic Gohan absorbed (Buuhan) its like Jiren absorbing MUI Goku. Now with Gogeta, where Vegeta can hit SSBE and Goku’s unlocked Ultra Instinct, even Gogeta’s base form is way beyond FP Jiren, no matter how many years Jiren trained. If Broly won then the timeline is failed. If Jiren won then balance is restored and the next mission can progress. My friend there is no conceivable way broly won that fight. Firstly, Goku states that Broly is the strongest opponent he has faced in the manga, and Toriyama said that Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction and that Goku and Vegeta will not reach that level of power, which means that Goku and Jiren do not come close to Beerus's power. Additionally, Goku and Vegeta are on a different power level against Broly than they were against Jiren, and on top of that, you have to consider how fatigued they were against Jiren and still managed to overpower him.

My personal verdict is that Broly is stronger than Jiren physically, but Jiren is a lot more skilled and has more combat experience, and is close enough in strength to Broly that he could very much pull a win. Also, I feel like Beerus is being underrated here. He's definitely the strongest GoD as in the manga he soloed all the others at the same time, and on top of that he VERY easily bodied a post-Moro Arc Vegeta and straight up said Vegeta would have to train for MILLIONS of years before he could think of matching Beerus

You just can't use the anime and manga, they are 2 different continuities and these arguments are so bad. Broly and Jiren are both enemies since they are both called such in the promotional material, goku from blue in his second fight in the ToP was able to fight jiren on equal terms to his UI omen counterpart, trading blows and parrying attacks, so he got massively stronger, since he wasn't even in SSJBK20 but just in SSJB, then lost, got a zenkai, lost in UI, got MUI, his body gave up and got another zenkai, the first zenkai was a boost greater than 20 times, and he got at least 2 others since he lost MUI and then got fatigued and damaged when throwing jiren off the stage with frieza. So he is bare minimum more than 400+ times stronger than a hypothetical SSJBK20 goku who fought jiren in his MUI fight, who would be 400+ times stronger than his first jiren fight (he should be much stronger, since he also fought kefla) and he didn't even bother going SSJBK20 or telling vegeta to go SSJBE, so he thought that the difference between yellow hair SSJ Broly (who is weaker than green hair LSSJ Broly) was greater than the difference between pre awakening jiren and him at full power and vegeta, and they'd both be 400+ times stronger here, but he thought that broly grew way too strong, then broly proceeded to fight for an entire hour, which was much longer than the duration of his past fight with vegeta, goku and both if them put together, so he at least grew more in that hour than what he did in the past 3 fights, and in some minutes he grew hundreds of times stronger only against vegeta, since he went from base vegeta level to at least stronger than SSJ2 vegeta level, since vegeta felt the need to go SSJG, then got a 10× boost with hikari and went from below SSJG vegeta level to SSJB goku level, then used a 50× multiplier with SSJ which would be only 5× times stronger than ikari and then fought for one hour, then grew against base Gogeta, who went SSJ and Broly adapted, so Gogeta went SSJB and Broly was growing stronger, he even went into LSSJ and grew more, but the gap was much greater than what Broly could do so he lost. If you took initial Broly vs Jiren, Jiren would win, but if you took both at full power Broly would rip Jiren apart, it wouldn't even be close

First of all, the power levels in dragonball super, complete shit. It was so before and it will always be so. You should not look for logic where there is none, but if you try, you can put together at least an approximate picture of what is happening. Your logic is completely stupid. I think it'd be very close, but I could see Jiren winning if they're both going all out. Jiren is a very well put together fighter, so he could fairly easily determine strategies to deal with Broly imo. Broly is a rampaging beast, and Jiren constantly remarks that just having high power means little if you can hardly control it. There is the chance that all that power does wind up allowing him to simply just push through Jiren's attacks, since he managed to go fairly full force against Gogeta without being super devastated. Hasn't Jiren been training ever since he got his ass beat by Goku? So imagine a Jiren with even more power and speed than before, with actual technique and style instead of just raw strength. So i'd say Jiren can easily manhandle Broly considering Broly has to stay in Berserk for quite a bit of time (around like 1 hour 30 mins) to even reach Full Power Mastered SSB level in the Broly movie. Jiren already has teqnique he was trained by his old master as a kid who was a martial artist. He isnt just raw strength.You can clearly see that by how hes able to control his ki so easily and the way hes so calm fighting ui omen goku. He was left in the dust during top came back arcs later and now is the strongest character in the series outside of dieties. This is litterally due to training and honing his potential. Dude even broly who after broly movie was basically fodder due to goku and vegeta achieving new heights and fighting way stronger villians came back years later in superhero seeing much more improvement than before. Same theme he trained. Jiren definitly would be way stronger now. Somebody who bases his whole identity/purpose off absolute strength and has trained to reach that goal before would just stop because he lost one time. Your scaling is a bit off here. First, belmond isnt stronger than beerus (I can back this up with a source). Gogeta, who is weaker than beerus, was pushed to blue fighting broly; he didn't choose, as when broly went full ssj to green hair, the punch gogeta landed on him did practically nothing and it was the only time he was getting contested in the fight, so he upped it to blue. On the other hand, Jiren was defeated by a TOP MUI goku. From there, I guess it's just a decision of if MUI goku is able to overpower a blue gogeta, in which case Jiren wins, or if a gogeta in ssj god or below is able to beat TOP MUI goku, in which case Broly wins. Theres no way of knowing, its a stupid argument with all due respect.

Have you even read the latest chapters? They’re articulated and drawn almost exactly the same as the movie itself so you’re definitely wrong on that account. It was also stated that Broly was the strongest fighter in the superhero promotional material apart from Gohan and “probably” a hypothetical perfect cell max. In other words, most of the work was done by MUI Goku and U7 doesn’t stand a chance without him. This is leaving out fights before Omen as none of them force Jiren out of his suppressed state. Because of this, the logic that 3 Blues is less than a Blue Fusion isn’t relevant to Jiren vs Broly. Neither of which would lose to three Blues btw. The closest thing we have to scale them off is Beast Gohan as MUI Goku and Broly fought him. And Jiren is around or below MUI Goku depending on how much MUI grew since the T.O.P.

You said you only wanted to use animated scenes but then used manga exclusive lines for Jiren but only used the movie for Broly. 2nd beerus has been stated many times to be the strongest god in the verse. Lastly right after the events of the broly movie whis says ssjb gogeta is many times stronger than any other transformation or fighter in the universe

I'm sorry, but what was that ending analysis was just Jiren wank and Broly downplay. It is made apparent in the Broly Movie and the other arcs after that Goku hasn't surpassed Beerus. Yes, Goku and Jiren surpass some Gods of Destruction, specifically Belmod, but not all of them. We see in the tournament between the destroyers that Beerus and Quitela are considered the strongest. Beerus even gets jumped by pretty much everyone and still wins. And while we don't know exactly where Belmod (Jiren's Destroyer) compares to Beerus, we know he has to be weaker then Beerus because Jiren surpassed Belmod, Goku surpassed Jiren and Goku is weaker then Beerus. More evidence for Goku being weaker then Beerus is Goku saying Broly might be stronger then Beerus and Goku can't beat Broly at this point. Also Black Frieza who is stated weaker then Beerus in promotional is stronger then UI Goku. Not to mention, Beerus just out write calls Goku weaker then himself and Whis agrees. Now as for Broly. Yes, pre adapted Broly is significantly weaker then Jiren (T.O.P). Jiren could likely one shot him if he tried as Broly at that point was barley base Vegeta level. However, Full Power SSJ Broly is a completely different story. For one, promotional just out write calls him stronger then Jiren. Next, Goku compares Broly at full power to be potentially stronger then Beerus and as I've already discussed Jiren is weaker then Beerus. And lastly, he is able to fight Gogeta, let alone him in Blue. Say what you want about Gogeta vs Vegito but it has been stated recently that they are comparable. Blue Vegito, back in the Black Arc, was stated stronger then Beerus and the Broly Movie supports the idea of Blue Fusion still being above Beerus. Full Power SSJ Broly would be significantly stronger then T.O.P Jiren. I'd even say modern Controled SSJ Broly would be stronger as he is comparable to Beast Gohan who is comparable to a stronger MUI Goku, then the one who beat Jiren. The only way Jiren wins is if it was a hypothetical modern arc Jiren. Edit: Toyotaro and the Editors straight up confirmed that Granola arc Goku is still weaker than Whis, Grand Priest, Beerus, and Broly. But says nothing of Jiren.

As much as people don't like Jiren as a character I think he is amazing. Especially when I watched the original Japanese sub first. The voice acting is so much better for his character when he sounds like a samurai. Also the way they show off his power through punches that are thrown from great distances away. Obscene feats of strength only defeated by a beyond perfect fighting style in ultra instinct.

The Legendary Super Saiyan has unlimited potential. So Jiren would have to jump so high in his power to completely knock Broly out in the fight, which he could no doubt do. But as Jiren cannot sense power levels, he cannot properly scale Broly's adaptive scaling. Believe me, Broly could continue adapting where he would scale higher as his Saiyan physiology allows for that potential to keep going. His legendary status allows for him to climb higher a lot faster. With the discipline of control that he was learning, he could eventually scale to Jiren's level and far beyond.

I think its pointless to argue about hearsay in anime, because it could be bent anytime the author decides to. We should just compare feats of strength, and if there are none, we shouldn't compare these characters. "Goku said Broly could be stronger than Beerus" "Toppo said Jiren is stronger than Belmont" "Whis said Belmont is stronger than Beerus". All of them could be wrong, so whats the point? I think that if there isn't much to be said, we shouldn't say anything at all.

I mean we do have feats to compare, though, and going by feats alone, Jiren stomps. That's typically how the rules are supposed to go for match-ups, but a lot of anime fans like going by statements, which are not indicative at all of character's abilities.

Jirens statements don’t even matter. At first beerus used 70% against ssg goku. Then he was far stronger than blue. Then he was compared to vegito blue and fused zamasu. Then he’s weaker than jiren, but right after he’s confident he can destroy moro who was far stronger than jiren. Even after that arc, goku in MUI says “beerus ain’t someone to mess with.” How can you guys even bring his statements when beerus scaling is so inconsistent. Jiren is nowhere near full power broly. His only hope would be to finish him off as soon as he notices the adaptation

Suppressed jiren massively above blue kkx20 as he glares away casually and oneshot blue evolved vegeta. Meaning suppressed jiren is more than likely above ssj gogeta. Ui omen massively above blue kkx20 as it fights on par with jiren. Both on par with each other but then jiren power even more that his aura cover arena itself and charged ki attack that meant to end ui omen. Then goku turn mui and vaporise that attack out of existence by just moving fingers a little in late part of ep129. Meaning the gap between ui omen and mui is retardly huge. Jiren close that gap by break his limits or use hidden power and win fist clash against mui. Win beam clash with 1 hand. Sent goku to the ground before his friend cheer him up and beat his ass
