I always clear cache! Away from the firestick, I watch KZbin on a tablet and after it builds up 170mb, it stops running or buffers. Clearing cache then puts it right. Surely cache building up on a number of apps will steadily slow the stick down?

Most important thing is to update. Family members never update and it actually doubled the storage needed on the device. I had to completely reset and update the device to get the storage to read half of what it was with the same apps installed.

I clear the cache because I notice as days go by my internal space under manage installed applications goes down and clearing it raises the internal space. Plus it doesn’t slow down my speed.

I have a bad habit of clearing cache frequently. While it has proven helpful for one particular app (quicker loading, buffering stops), I am not sure how much difference it makes for others. I'm puzzled as to what causes the cache in Tubi to build so much and so quickly! Guess I will stop being OCD about this now.

Its not as straight forward as saying you dont need to do it. You can have bad cache, which will cause problems, and this will be amplified on devices such as firesticks, which have very little RAM and storage. For the very minimal gain in keeping the cache, its really not worth keeping it...... peeps, if youre using a device such as a FS, get rid of your cache.

If you don't clear your cache, it load up , and slow down. I clear my cache, and use the cleaner, then restart your firestick, and will give you more storage

@@vaughnmitchell3030, Not really, next few times you load it up the cache is back. Cache holds things like photos for the posters of movies and tv shows to help load the apps faster. Clearing it will do nothing at these things will still download the artwork/posters.
