Good video, and an important point. Thank you. I'm an extreme example of this. I suffered with an eating disorder for years and eventually cracked and realised I could feel better and do more if I just ate more. This was a huge leap for me. Since then, I've completed a Half Ironman triathlon and I'm now in training for my next. Fitter, stronger, healthier, and feeling and looking better than I ever have before. Eating 3500kcal per day, which is more than double my intake back in the dark days.

As a teenager who did low calorie madness while working out for months with no results, I agree. I was a little skinny fat and wanted abs so desperately. I dont know how much damage I have done to my body. I highly recommend to eat more than you burn when you workout a lot. I am now 1 and a half years in not restricting calories and I have a great body now.

It’s hard to cut fat and gain muscle at the same time. Either bulk and lift a lot of weights and build muscle whilst eating a high protein diet or do a lot of cardio and eat clean and burn your fat and then burn muscle. It’s hard to do both at once.

This the best advice about cutting weight that I've seen on here. There are so many videos talking about the benefits of eating less than 1,000 calories a day! It's crazy "slowing chipping away" at body is the only way that's actually obtainable.

Exercise wakes up the chemical balance of the body. Once used to a regular routine with variety the heart works to make the natural ability to burn fat happening at comfortable rates. Eliminate sugars and alcohol and tue results of exercise on the exterior will be seen and felt on your interior. I can say that being a United States Army Master Fitness Trainer has given me a broad range of knowledge and advisement/the ability to train others to improve health, fitness and nutrition. One word to keep in mind with exercise and anything else related to progress is “Consistency”.

While before I always held a steady weight. Now, my weight’s been “chipping away” and I haven’t changed how much I eat at all… simply changed what I was eating. It's also about the quality and diversity of food, when you eat and how often. You WILL lose weight eating less but people go too far with it then rebound and gain the weight back.

I've found mini cuts & maintenance phases to be most effective in terms of ease, sustainability & effectiveness. In the past, when I've spent long periods in an uninterrupted deficit, I've invariably wound up eating so little to continue losing weight that the diet becomes unsustainable. Better to spend 4 weeks cutting broken up by a couple of weeks at maintenance. I've gone from 250lbs at my heaviest to recently weighing 184lbs dieting this way.

Shout to the editing. Did you do this too? Had me in tears over here. The car acceleration sounds through the phase out, the Scarface "finale line", the gun shots on the cardio hits! 🤣🤣 You earned the subscription off that alone. All the invaluable information you provided was extra icing! I've been 16:8 fasting for a month, and have dropped my calories down to about 1200/day. Not even gon' hold you: It's wack, but necessary. I can't front like it hasn't worked too. I'm down about 15lbs~ from when I started. I don't know if I'm trying to jump up to 2500, that's gon' make me CTRL+Z everything. Haha! However, 1500 is a compromise I'd already been thinking about. I do anywhere from 30-60mins of HIIT exercises a day, and am trying to get about 45mins of walking per day as well. That "gun shot" approach sounds like a move if I'm willing to increase my output somewhere else [exercise, etc.] in place of having to walk every day. I'll mess with it and see what I come up with. Got an aggressive goal to drop something close to +50lbs by November 15th, all being well. But yeah, this video was dope, man. You genuinely earned this sub. Preciate you!

I think the issue is people being in a caloric surplus and not utilizing it thus people getting fat. Instead of eating more and staying active that extra energy is being stores as fat rather than being consumed to build muscle in workouts. That is my belief on why people are afraid to eat more because they have not yet become accepting of a new fitness lifestyle to counteract the food.

I put on "some" fat but I eat 3,100 cals and I lift for an hour everyday, just focusing on building muscle and getting into a fitter, stronger state. if you're training hard you really don't want to be calorie deprived all the time or else it'll just drain you in everyway.
@Mikehowarth19882 жыл бұрын
I’m going through the calorie deprivation state now. 1600 calories a day and an hour of cardio on the bike. It’s not as hard as I thought it would be. But I do definitely get tired earlier at night. I’ve read so many different ways of burning fat that my heads in a spin but I’ve dropped 6 lbs in 2 weeks so I depend it’s what you want.

wow this made so much sense. We humans are really stupid to just be going in trying to decrease everything in one go kmt. Gym is necessary...sigh...food is necessary sigh...cant do it all at once sigh....those guys at the gym telling me to lift weights to lose weight are partially right sigh....I feel real dumb...sigh.... I would also add that you cant lose weight with high insulin so you must fast in the most simplest sense...meaning at least stop eating in the evening so your body can use the antagonist to insulin (i forgot right now what its called) to burn fat. And im also a partial believer in spot reduction...dont blast me but ive researched that after doing abs, lunges etc...30 min cardio will keep you burning fat in that area.....oops (cant remember the paper but its on ncbi)

Good video thanks.Some great points but for me cardio IS a critical part of weight loss but not talking the odd half hour here and there proper sessions an hour minimum several times a week makes a huge difference to me even if its just walking also improves fitness.
