Yep I heard it primarily to do with obesity type issues even in the very young. Avoid hyper processed foods and eat healthful plant based diet with meat/fish /eggs if desired. You can be in your 20s and still have. Yes people who are obese may also have higher blood sugar than there slimmer selves. But primarily loose the excess weight achieve a healthy bmi and if you eat healthy foods then they wont reoccur or much less likely to. We should be cautious of assuming everyone reacts the same with blood sugar to food such as organic oats. People are much more individual than one might imagine you just need to wear a blood sugar monitor to witness what the difference is between yourself and your friend or partner. My doctor told me tiny couple of skin tags I mentioned to her on my neck made of calcified tissue and her teenage son had them and he was chubby. He lost weight and skin tags didnt reoccur my ones came off with a little prompting as tiny and I put Savlon on them for about 5 days 3 times a day keeping area very clean and skin totally healed as if they had never been there. Best to go to doctors to get an experts opinion especially if they are not that small or one has dark skin. I am pale so maybe my experience not reflective of how other peoples skin would heal.

Amazing! About a month ago a noticed a skin tag on my upper eyelid. Soon after, I started a keto diet with intermittent fasting. I am losing weight, and coincidently, yesterday I checked out the skin tag and to my surprise it is almost gone. Prior to the diet, for thirty years I have started my day with a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries (healthy right?). I stumbled upon this video this morning and thought you were talking directly to me. Thank you! I know this diet is working!

If you want to look to your religion for guidance on what to eat, it’s already right there in the ‘Old Testament.’ No prayer necessary, just reading. By that criteria, you may want to start by eliminating cheeseburgers, pizza w/meat toppings, pork, and all shellfish. 😉

I recently had a skin tag fall off on its own and wondered why. Thank you for this video because helped clarify their connection to my diet . Recently I’ve significantly reduced oil in my diet. I’ve maintained a normal glucose level most of my life but never considered “spikes”. I’ve also been pairing my carbs with oil-free vegetables daily. I believe the combination of these two changes contributed to the removal of the skin tag.❤

This is all new to me. I used to get the odd skin tag but I have not had any for the last couple of years, years that I have not consumed any of the 5 causes of skin tags outlined in the video. These last 2 years my food has been dictated by adopting a keto diet, almost a carnivore diet that precludes these problematic foods. So my experience tends to back up the video but I realise that when N=1 this can hardly be considered proof. Thank you Kait for the thought provoking video.

Mine disappeared under my left arm when I began to avoid all cooking oil 14 years ago. The dried fruit is a problem only if it contains preservatives which most do. Fruit sugar DOES assimilate differently in your body than refined sugar. If I eat fruit and no refined sugar, I never get mosquitos around me ever, even by a swamp. If I eat refined sugar, the mosquitos flock around me. My pitbull never gets any mosquitos around her and has no fleas whatsoever. That's because she eats no refined sugar at all and no dry kibble.

I started cleaning up my ‘healthy diet’ with a lazy whole 30. So many symptoms cleared up when I cut back or eliminated a lot of the ‘5’ you mentioned. Including the skin tags. All of the symptoms were put down to older age. I am sad about oatmeal though. That is the last to go. Could you do a short video on other grains/fibre like bran(all the forms) psyllium husk, etc. I like oatmeal because I usually eat it uncooked in smoothie or overnight oats, 2 tbsp max. Most other fibres seem to need cooking. Your videos are very helpful in understanding exactly how shifting eating helps with a lot of these nagging issues. Thank you!

Oats can be very healthy and nourishing for many (but not all) people. Just a couple days ago I saw a Joe Rogan podcast excerpt and he said something about certain chemicals that were used in the processing of oats before going to the market. So, the point is -- u must go to great lengths to make sure that the oats you're eating are in fact organic.

I have one lone skin tag on my hip. It wasn’t noticeable to anyone but me (and maybe my husband) but it felt like a tiny “pillow” of fat. Then almost 10 years ago I stopped using Canola, vegetable and corn oils to fry things AND actually did away with most fried foods, in general. If there was a difference, I didn’t notice very much. But then I cut all breads, grains, fruit about 3 years ago. Any carbs I get are from the veg or salads I eat (no beets, potatoes or corn). I, of course, also eat proteins and fat and THAT’S when I noticed a difference. Not only did I shed quite a few pounds but my skin tag is now the size of a tiny (and I mean, tiny) mole! I figured it must have had something to do with my low-carb lifestyle. But had no idea that cutting bad oils worked in tandem. I also find it highly ironic that these oils go rancid when exposed to high heat but then are pushed as “heart healthy, good for you” oils and used in most placed as the oil of choice for frying because it supposedly has a “high smoke point” and is supposed to be able to handle high cooking temperatures! I even got into a disagreement with a nutritionist holding a lecture because I was pointing out that these heart healthy oils health care and nutritionists push are not only harmful but are also GMO. I pointed out that oils such as coconut, though higher in saturated fat were better for us. She curtly cut me off and said all studies on coconut oil were “anecdotal at best!” She also stated that none of us (people in her class) would be there if we actually knew how to eat properly....” That was the last class I attended. I wish more people knew the truth.

Super comment! I had a heart problem last year and my cardiologist had review and told me that if not all cardiologist have changed their mind be now it won't take many years until they do.. he forbid me from eating vegetable oil and said if I needed fat for cooking that i should use highly saturated fat, butter or bacon. And there is a lot of science showing correlation of deep frying in vegetable oil and heart disease and lots of clinical studies showing heart and blood vessel improvements of just changing the "healthy veg oils" to bacon fat...

For centuries humanity in various parts of the world have lived on locally available flora and fauna. Coconut oil, Sesame oil, Mustard oil depending upon the local availability. Problem is commercial extraction of these oils. Life style illnesses are gift of capitalism and very recent happening in human history. 100-150 yrs are recent in 10,000 years of humanity.

Stick with coconut, avocado, and olive oils. Lard, butter, and bacon grease are also healthy. If you don't want gull stones, eat your saturated fats, which, by the way, don't cause fatty liver. When did health organizations warn against fat in diet and change the food pyramid? After we got margarine, vegetable and canola oils. Only my opinion.

Early this year (2023) I made the switch from an Oatmeal + fruits breakfast to one centered around bacon, egg, avocado, and a small amount of "safe" berries. While I had no skin tags to pre switchover, the change has reduced what was for years a lot of body aches / pains. Enough so to allow me to resume lifting (very light) weights again, a first in several decades. Which ties in with this video's talk of Oatmeal (and other grains) being highly inflammatory. (I've given up grains entirely now. At least I think I have. Can't say I miss 'em, except for one sammich that was a food staple for some years. Such is life.)

I've been on a low carb, high protein diet for 20+ years. However, I do like dark chocolate cranberries has a treat sometimes. Dried apricots also have more potassium than bananas and people with R.A. were found to have a potassium deficiency. So I have started eating dried apricots for arthritis (the tags appeared before I began eating them) and I love dates sometimes with yoghurt. Yoghurt for breakfast can also include ground pumpkin, sunflower seeds and ground nuts e.g. walnuts, hazelnuts, almond. I do eat a teaspoon of golden sultanas soaked in gin on a regular basis, it stops my hands locking up and having to have an operation on my wrists.

I've had to stop oatmeal due to gout, been switching away canola and vegetable oil to olive oil for lower temp cooking. I don't eat dried fruits, due to type 2 diabetes. I've cut back on botted fruits juice and prefer whole fruits instead. I've also had to severly cut back on breads and pastries due to gout, the yeast triggers gout flares for me. Pizza is also off-limits due to the crust. We make our own flat bread without yeast, I pair it with home made hummus, home made tzatziki or natural smooth peanut butter.

I currently make up a post heavy swim session drink which contains nuts(at Least the healthy ones), banana, pea protein, coconut oil, and coconut powder, dried fruit of various types, plus a good assortment of vitamins, a little Kefir and topped of with home made almond milk. Now after watching this I am thinking I may have to ditch the dried fruit. I only add the fruit for the natural vitamin C, but maybe I should just stick to a banana, apple and the natural berries and strawberry’s you mentioned. I live in Europe, so like most countries in the world, a lot of this fruit is seasonal, and out of season it can be very very expensive. I may even just ditch all the fruit and see what my energy drink tastes like. I admit to being a sugar junkie, but have resisted sugar for years and have felt the benefit for dropping it, but have probably been kidding myself by adding the dried fruit. What do you think.

I think a half lemon(with peeling) green leafy veggies like kale, spinach, etc, celery, cucumber, and ginger, …sweetened with half apple, or 1/2 banana, or fruit of some kind(berries…) and ice blended gives you what you need to replenish without the easy sugars. Works for me😉
