Same here dude. I'm always bending over backwards to help out a friend in need, or going out of my way to make them feel better about themselves. And all people ever do is take advantage of that, and never reciprocate it. I've cut out a lot of people in my life recently because I realized they're just not good people...

My journey started one year ago. I dressed like a kid, didn't understand style or grooming. I wasn't happy with my body either. I started working out and I threw away almost everything in my closet, I used a part of my savings to redo my wardrobe. I started educating myself mostly through Antonio and Alpha M. and it was showing quickly. If you can't do the radical wardrobe swap start small, build a classic wardrobe piece by piece then start experimenting to find your own style. I'm sorry there's no one tip to confidence and like Antonio and Alpha M. say "It's a journey, not a destination." I hope this helps you.

I remember that someone posted that getting others talk about themselves is a psychological trick in to making them like talking with you. I have always done it mostly on accident because I am a curious person, but the fact that you mention it and so accurately describe what happens shows that you know what you are talking about. This has been the biggest problem in my life. Luckily I managed to fix it. It's so true that people are way busier with themselves. I learned that when I thought I completely embarrassed myself and I'd never recover, and then I found out that no-one even remembered. That moment changed my life. I haven't cared about the things other people think since. I'm here for myself, and if anyone wants to tag along with me that's awesome, but it's not the main goal.

An admirable concept, the statement of which needs to be updated. Far, far too many people have taken it to mean that manners are unnecessary or that they don't need to be concerned with other people's feelings and sensibilities. If you love your twenty year old pick-up truck, screw what other's think. If you're considering showing up at your employer's black tie event aggressively under dressed, be damn well concerned about what others will think. Restatement: Don't worry about what other's think as long as you are doing nothing wrong.

I personally had a HUGE problem with this for years. I finally realized that I was (very futilely) putting more energy into making and molding the ultimately false perception of what others had of me than I was putting into making myself the best possible, real ME that I could. When I realized that those very few in my life that I share a real mutual respect for are the ones whose opinions matter to me and the ones whose opinions of ME matter - that's when it all fell into place.

This is a brilliant video. One more way I don't care about what others think is by being secure in your own identity. Don't let job title, financial status, or environment define your identity. Just like what was said in the video people are often too self-conscious to think of others but I always try to put others before myself and think of how I can serve others. It is easier said than done but it is a good habit to learn. Thank you for the amazing channel sir!

Excellent video! We have to ask ourselves if we have style...or simply mimic the style of others. The rhyme I recall is "Only follow a trend as a means to an end." All the content of RMRS is excellent. It allows us all to become educated on the timeless standards of style, then encourages us to take what we have learned and apply it to our own personal style in ways that are customized to our individuality. Allowing us to pay tribute to ourselves, while remaining respectful of the venue or occasion.

Good vid Antonio! One of the best advice on this Ive heard comes from a man called Dan Pena, and it goes something like this In the entire cosmos of time, any decision you make doesnt amount to a fart in the wind. You shouldnt be afraid of making them, and of anything other people think of you. In the grand scheme of things its all irrelevant anyway If you look at things like that, why would you worry about others opinions?? or even about your own. Just f'in do it.
