I am 73 now, but I was pregnant with twins in 1985-1986. I miscarried the first twin at 12 weeks and the second died at about 16 weeks. I didn't have a second miscarriage, but had to have a D&C. My husband died about 3 months later of a massive coronary, and my mother about a month after that. This gives me some idea of what may have happened. Thank you. My doctor did not explain much, just got angry when I didn't understand something. I already had 6 children, with the last 3 being C-sections.

As someone who has a low pain tolerance and was unable to have vaginal births, one singleton and one twin - I had c-sections. It’s freaking awesome. I’m so serious. Your medical team will be so fun and sweet. They will make you feel comfortable by playing whatever music you want. It doesn’t hurt and you can choose to have a blue drape during the procedure or a clear drape so you can see the babies come out. My recommendation is if you’re sensitive to smells, my first c-section made me and my spouse nauseous from cauterizing the incision. Burnt skin sometimes smells crazy. Didn’t happen my second time but I realized wearing a mask with vapor rub or whatever essential oil under your nose is so helpful. I learned during my twin procedure that rubbing alcohol pads completely make nausea disappear. Try it. It works for most. I walked two hours after my procedure. They give you all the pain meds you need to make you comfortable. It’s not a biggie. If you have any questions about it, I don’t mind sharing more of my experience! I 100% loved my c section experiences! Congratulations Mama! ❤ So happy for you!!! 🎉

Just because you have twins doesn’t rule out a vaginal birth. I had my twins vaginally three months ago. Usually as long as baby a is head down most providers are fine with giving it a go, especially if you’ve had successful vaginal births already.
