I’m loving this home maker series!! As a mom that was raised by a single dad with no mom in my life I’m learning sooo much!! I would love to see something like how to be a good wife because I’ve never seen a good equal marriage and would love tips on how to balance life and still show your husband love and respect ❤

This was very helpful. I make SO many dumb mistakes because I rush through too many tasks at one time. This is so inspiring to slow down and take things 1 at a time.

I really value these videos. In a world that treats stay at home moms like lazy, spoiled, clichés, I feel actual guilt for being stressed. Like some how my mom stress can't be that important, and I should just be able to get my shit together and move on. I take my role as wife and mother very seriously, and your videos bring some great insight and inspiration to tackle life's everyday challenges.

I love you and this video so much Angie! So much once it finished I straight away rewatched. 34 year old recently diagnosed with ADHD, and I’ve never had a problem with productivity/getting things done. But with my brain, that was to the detriment of my emotions, my nervous system and my mental health. I was constantly running on empty and the chaos of my internal monologue was screaming. Conversations like this help SO many far and wide, that they realize they’re not useless, that they’ve been expected (or felt expected), to do things that are just unrealistic. This type of self reflection has gone such a long way to creating calm and contentment ❤❤❤❤

A fun fact that I learned recently: when it comes to that “mother ear” that you speak of where you’re able to detect slight differences in tone from children. This is actually not from experience, but from a physiological difference and capability that women have over men. I used to feel pretty frustrated when my husband couldn’t hear these differences in our son’s cry, but then I learned that he is literally incapable of hearing it. Men also have abilities that women generally don’t. One example is that they are able to detect much more accurately where a sound is coming from compared to women. I guess this was an ability that was very useful especially back in the day when men used to hunt for their families. Cool huh! Go easy on your husbands 😂😂😂 I know it’s hard ahahaha

Super tasking is possible but takes an extreme hit on your heath and well being :/ I have always found I am superproductive the more I do but as good as that sounds the biggest toll is on your health and well being. It causes high blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep. That and your brain goes a mile a minute like adhd on overdrive. I do not recommend it at all! Your videos are definitely a reminder that as moms we don't have to do it all :) There's so much pressure from society to do all the things, but we need to allow ourselves grace to take a break sometimes and to say "no" when we have a lot on our plates already. I say this because I run three businesses, homeschool, manage my home pretty much single handedly (my husband's here he's just lazy lol😆) and deal with whatever people throw in my lap (which feels like everything) because they think I am invincible. I am not and to be honest wish I never allowed myself to take on as much as I have because I always put my needs last and after a while you feel more like a robot than a person :/ So anyone reading this slow down and enjoy life :) - the older Angela 😊

Great wisdom and insight. Thank you. I fall into the trap of adding things to my list. When I would do this and I hadn't my four children plus Bonus children you're right I found myself so overwhelmed. Pacing has been the hardest thing for me to learn over the years and now that i'm getting older and finally getting it. But when I was younger and had my kids it was I had to get it all done, Get that list done cause I hated knowing there was something to do. I can't tell you how many times I functioned on so little sleep. That was stupidity.

"Supertaskers" aren't actually multitasking either, they're just faster at context switching. A great way to test yourself is try to do dishes, talk on the phone and supervise homework (if your kid's under 12yo) and ask your friend to time how long they're just waiting for you. This just happened with a friend of mine and I spent most of the call just twiddling my thumbs until I finally told her as much.

And one thing I've read in the past about multitasking is that it actually doesn't exist. Apparently women are pretty good at quickly shifting their attention from 1 thing to another but as far as true multitasking, it's not really a thing. We can still use that word to describe quickly shifting our attention from 1 thing to another, though. To use the word multitasking is so mainstream that do not use it or to say it doesn't exist would probably confuse too many people.
