Tav was also out there with cement in his boots. Barron didn't show up for the first time the way I thought he would. He is still young and I have faith the lad will have better games against your lot in future. No excuses though Celtic deserved to win.

I was honest in a chat and said McGregor is a better player than baron right now and explained why. @@Char1872-b8e I have faced this same issue for years. I’m very objective when it comes to Rangers. Emotion does not cloud my judgment. I say what I believe to be true. Celtic were better than us last season, they just had a much better summer, and are now favourites to go and win the league. Rangers are not prepared to challenge for a title. This weekend Clement will take Rangers to Parkhead and play his one and only tactic which is the 4-2-3-1 wide. Brendan Rodgers will know what to expect, and he will have plans in place to counter it. There is every chance Clement will be embarrassed. Rangers could lose heavily and the inability to adapt or change the system will be evident. At that point I will know for sure Celtic have a better squad, a better manager, a better run club.

McGregor has to be the most overrated player in Scottish football history. If you ever watch him playing for Scotland you can see how mediocre he is. McGregor performs well in dominant teams that enjoy the bulk of possession and are expected to win. However, he is completely ineffective in less dominant teams and is especially poor up against a high press where he often starts panicking and giving the ball away easily. Just watch his last performance for Scotland against Hungary and see how many times he gave away possession. This is one of the reasons why Celtic have done literally nothing in Europe for the entire duration of his spell there. When did he go away from home in Europe against a superior side and grind out a narrow win or draw when they were on the back foot? Their sporadic wins have all came at home in, largely, meaningless group games when they couldn’t even qualify. It’s the same for Scotland. Unless I’m mistaken he didn’t score for 30 odd games for Scotland and only started looking decent once our team improved and we were able to have more of the ball and be more dominant. You can call me biased but I’ve watched a lot of McGregor over the years as a Scotland fan (where I set aside slub allegiances) and I’ve been crying out for him to be dropped throughout this entire period. His worst performances for Celtic were in that period where we kept beating them under Gerrard. He got sent off, scored an OG etc. Then as soon as we become rubbish after Gerrard leaves, you notice he starts looking like a good player again as he is playing in the dominant team. Stop giving mediocre players so much respect and maybe we can finally beat them. Do you think the Hungarian midfield at the Euros were terrified of what Calum McGregor could do? 😂😂
