Stop Motion Tank Battle - The Eastern Front, Belorussia (1/72 Scale Airfix Scale Model Kit Film)

A short test animation about a Panzer Zug facing off a Soviet artillery emplacement, based loosely in the time of July of 1941 during Operation Barbarossa. It took a few months on and off to do and was filmed on a desk using various 1/72 scale tanks, aircraft and figure kits from Airfix, Revell, Italeri, Zvezda, UMT, First to Fight and Plastic Soldier Company.
This was a bit of an experiment for trying some new vfx and also better flying effects for the Ju 87 Stukas. I also hired some Fiverr voice actors for the first time so the Germans and Russians are speaking their native language this time!

Thanks a lot mate, a very honourable comparison. Crazy to imagine what kind of machines and the studio he would’ve been using while I used mainly a device the size of a large wallet to shoot it on a table in my bedroom! I have plans to do The Battle of Milne Bay, not really a massive sea battle but there will definitely be some naval action and some strafing runs for that one! Take care mate.

Thanks lot! Yeah they are useful to have, maybe not as useful as a Zis-2 against a Panzer 4 but oh well hahah. My good one is from Zvezda and the dodgy one is from UMMT which also has a later longer barreled version and a bit too much PE. Take care😁
