Some great insights here! I agree that keeping things simple can be one of the best ways to ensure consistent progress. The "perfect plate" can seem a little boring at first, but the approach becomes pretty exciting when people start seeing results!

This is pretty much the same concept as the Mediterranean diet

There is more to eating a healthy diet. First of all, we are each uniquely different and what is healthy for one person could be poison for another. Secondly, people who need to heal their guts won't do well with grains, beans, legumes, or high fodmap foods. Other foods that can be problematic are dairy, corn, oats, and rice. Also, while healing the gut, cooked vegetables are easier to digest than raw, as well as raw juices vs smoothies. Each of us has to figure out what foods work for us.

He's giving options. He's not telling anybody what to eat. It's not possible to do so for each individual person. But we all do have to eat. So most people can build a "perfect plate" that works for them with no issues. 😊 Protein, veggie and a carb (or not).
