Hey Robbie, thanks for the review! As someone already stated, the band needs to be pretty snug just below your bicep and above your elbow, this will give the most effective leverage and allow it to be fitted properly and consistently. Also you DONT want it slipping down. To adjust it correctly: make sure you are feeling tension at 90 degrees minimum to your chest. You are absolutely right though, the goal is to not feel it at all through the throwing motion. As far as the over-rotating issue, you will never over-rotate if you keep the disc on line with the basket. Maybe focus on that next time you practice with it. Reach out to me with any questions! KZbin videos coming soon on our end!

Good stuff Robbie... it is always hard to evaluate a training device for the broad spectrum of players and types of learners out there. Just like in ball golf, there are wonderful teaching devices that work for some and are not great for others. I appreciate you taking the time to try this one out for us.😊

Yo, robbie. I learned this during astrophotography, but you can buy a lens warmer than wraps around the lens to keep it warm. This will eliminate the fogging issue for future videos.

There's another tool coming out in August on putt confidently site and it's like an elbow brace it's supposed to keep you in the so-called power pocket it makes a snapping sound when you're in the pocket
@Spazimagoo
@Spazimagoo 2 ай бұрын
Try it out right above your elbow instead of in the middle of your bicep. It holds the form longer for the power pocket. I think where you had it on your bicep allows you to reach back more and releases tension a lot earlier than it’s meant to. That’s how it was when I tried it at least.

This is key, as soon as I saw it on his bicep I knew it probably wouldn't yield full results. By putting it farther down the lever it gets more of a lever to pull, and you get the bicep to keep it from moving further up your arm.

I been trying to fix my power pocket collapse problem for like a year+ now. I can fix it with a standstill and slow x-step, but on the course tryna throw big, I let it creep back in. That thing looks a bit awkward, but also looks like it does what it's designed to do. Interesting.

Just started the video, very interested to hear his thoughts. The fact the product isn't linked in the description is giving me a hint how jazzed, or not, Robbie might be about it... I figure for the cost of 2 new discs, it's worth a shot, especially if it forces you to get out and do some field work!

Honestly the slowed down version from the side looks like you are throwing and air bounce?? Your reach back is kinda high and you dip your elbow when pulling through. Just an observation 13:00

Haha, I saw that and was like "hey, that's what I do!" I threw a tech disc once and had like -10 degree launch angle with 6 degrees nose up. Horrible habit to break and why I'm stuck at 300' :P

I imagine your camera is stored in a colder air conditioned space. When you take a cold camera lens outside into that humidity the moisture condensates on the cold lens and will continue to do so until the camera lens eventually warms up. One way or another you need the camera lens temperature to match or be closer to outside temperatures before you expose the lens to the moisture. So you can store the camera somewhere warmer or place it somewhere warmer 30 minutes before shooting.

You're less likely to see this with a phone because the phone is often in your warm pocket, or phones tend to stay warm from use, or the phone lens is just so small it warms up faster than a full camera lens.

Thank you for trying this training tool out for us. It is hard to evaluate a device that will be used by some many different types of players with different body types and throw forms. I think you did a great job letting people see it in action and hopefully being able to tell if it is a good fit for them. I think the going in with friends would be a great idea for many folks. :D
