That's everybody's fear. I own a software development agency, I write books and it might seem like I have smth to say, but I'm always having this fear of... like... uhm, okay, I cannot talk for hours about my business, it's boring to people, right? And I cannot repeat myself, right?.. But... a long road starts with a single step. Everything needs but a beginning. You've got a lifetime of experience behind your back, and there might be people looking for the advice you can provide. Think about WHO you can help, not WHAT you can talk about. Good luck! 👍

That's why I am so hesitant to find a job, because I really don't like having to prove myself to anyone and personally I'm more of a self led person, if in a group than I'm either the leader or we're all equal and no one is the head of the group.. but I won't be someone else's follower ever. Working on some small business ideas behind the scenes.

I was so scared to start my cooking channel (worried i looked dumb on camera and people would make fun of me because its very niched down - vegan) but it has been one of the best decisions ever. At 570 subs I already landed a brand deal which is so shocking to me lol. The unknown is scary and fearful but also the possibilities are something I CRAVE. I love seeing what can happen and what doors open when you try something new. Its addicting. And once you get the ball rolling you feel on top of the world.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for 5 years and this year I’ve been getting request to speak on panels and literally turned them down when I was first approached. I said no because I didn’t trust myself and didn’t believe people really wanted to hear what I had to say. I definitely thought about the worse case scenario. That helped me calm my nerves and realize I actually know what I’m talking about. Love this Erin!!

Greetings! I bumped into your channel by way of virtual trunk tour.. I'm working on a project.. I'm impressed at how grounded you are.. that will take you far. The enemy does use FEAR to try to turn us around and the other weapon in his arsenal is DOUBT.. It has the power to get you tangled up, tied down and RUN. When I was participating in my first book fair it happened to me. First I was positioned in the wrong genre then it seemed like I wasn't getting anyone at my table... then God whispered to me.. I'm going to send you who I want you to meet and behold a woman came by, picked up my book, started reading it... She was from a bookclub. She purchased my book. God works in Great Wonders! That was 2008...I just published my 5th book last year and a completed the series, "Sleeper Awake! " Belief in God cancels out the enemies plot of Doubt. God always sends me who He wants me to meet and vice versa.. Believe All Things are Possible when you Believe! 🙏

My biggest fear is simply failing. I see myself at a different level but I'm in uncharted territory. I'm 27 and I have recently completely changed my plan for myself and my life. I just know that I have more to offer the world. I spend soo much time thinking of great things but I struggle to follow through because of my fear of failing and not getting any support. I just started my KZbin channel and that in itself was a step. But even with every video I doubt myself. This was a very uplifting video. Thanx for all of the advice! I've learned soo much from your content throughout my journey to become an entrepreneur.

Also, in regards to my 'big' fear.. I think I've let the prison of previous failures and disappointments hold me hostage for much longer than was necessary and I realised I could not afford to do this any longer. I stopped myself from trying/doing anything because I allowed yesterday to feature a bit too prominently in today. I am not nearly where I want to be, but I know if I can't be faithful to myself I cannot hope to be anything else to anyone else. So I got to do this.✊

My biggest fear is putting myself out there and getting no feedback. I want to make videos to help and encourage other young moms such as myself as well as anyone else who may be inspired by my journey. KZbin and the internet in general has so many people discussing the same topics in their own way, and I am afraid I don’t have ‘IT’ to make people want to like and subscribe to my channel when I start. This video has allowed me to take a better look at myself and identify what’s delaying my start to something new. I will start implementing that five second rule, because my fear and my nerves... they are definitely holding me back. I even got the ‘bubble guts’ typing this comment 😂 I have been binge watching your videos since I found you, and like many others, I am grateful for you and all of the information you provide. Starting a business is not the hard part. The hard part is gaining support. I suffer from a mental illness. Schizophrenia and depression. Starting a business have been a strong desire for me. I'm an introvert and sometimes I don't know what I need to do to improve my products. I could come up with a name for my business and make labels for my products but my products just sit here because I have no support and don't know how to fully put myself out there. I wish that I had a little guidance and people in my corner and it's very frustrating. I continue to pray because I'm also in my wilderness and isolation.

I have a constant "impostor syndrome" about my business ideas :( I keep thinking I might not be good enough to pursue them. My friends and family are constantly saying: Are you sure you know what you are doing? You've never had any experience doing that. So I always give up on it :(

Never feel like you don’t know enough. A lot of people walk on eggshells scared to do something because they are unaccomplished, not wealthy, or whatever reason. I don’t have that problem. I don’t care about looking crazy, sounding crazy, or not doing everything right when starting out. Some people I went to law school with scared to start their own law firm because they are scared they can’t run a law firm and don’t want to make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. You will make mistakes. Humans make mistakes. If you not making mistakes- check your pulse. All that matters is you learn from mistakes and have a willingness to fill in the gaps in your knowledge. You’ll never be 100% ready for anything. After studying for hours, I never felt fully prepared for many exams in law school. Sometimes you gotta go fully prepared or not. I think one of my biggest fears is set backs. I’ve had so many setbacks when I made an attempt. So I feel like tryin again it’ll be another setback. However, I’m learning to continue to grind during hard times because there will always be something! If you stop, you’ll never get there. Push through the pain.

Your business will never be what you imagined it to be at the start :) When something isn't working it just means that you have to do it otherwise (it's like perfecting a cake recipe!). I am sure you have figured out pretty important things in your life so far, and even if we don't know each other I would be ready to bet that you can do it again :) I don't know where you are at in your life at the moment but, before leaving my job I was depressed and was suffering from chronique fatigue syndrom and as soon as I started working on my business, my life changed and I never suffer from lack of energy anymore, because I am doing what feels right :) I wish you the best!

My biggest fear is not being able to have the time provide all the hand made things that I'm selling. And not getting the customers to buy what I'm selling.

Thank you, Erin! I am so glad that I ran into your video. I am nervous, scared... all that. I think being on social media for me is intimidating especially when you have good ideas that you want to share but you’re not sure if people are going to react well to them. Like you know they’re good ideas but you’re still learning and growing and what if people are impatient and they don’t want to see someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing. I’m at that point right now. So I did start just doing it. I started that and I’m still nervous but one thing I am learning to do is when I don’t know something or understand, I research it. I think that’s what’s holding me back but... I will definitely take note of everything you said and push through ❤️

Ok sooooot I loveeeee about your videos is how calm you are and I need that so bad. So many videos with people yelling about how they get up at 3, reading and turning on the treadmill for two hours straight and I'm like I'm not doing none of that! Again you do a phenomenal job!

my biggest fear is hiring/delegating tasks in the long-run (i've been in business for 1 year) but i believe its time to outsource tasks so i can focus on running things outside the business and not inside the business 🙏🏽

Wow this was perfect timing for this message! My biggest fear is launching my rebranding/ focus to a topic that can be generalized and feel like your info is outdated. Also, fear of pushing my content out there and not living up to my expectations. Thank you for this! Taking action today. No excuses.

Hi Erin, I'm new to this and LOVE that you are offering support to us who are pushing past fear. Sometimes I fear the time and energy it will take to be successful at something new and often linger in between action and rest without choosing either. I'll be doing the daily top 3! Thanks again and love your videos. -Darielle Neanne

This video speaks VOLUMES! You are so motivating and inspirational and real. My biggest fear in getting started on my own brand/business is : Starting strong, then hitting some kind of plateau or not being able to progress to my full potential. I know that we are responsible for how we choose to move throughout our lives and these journeys we embark on. I know the importance of having that undeniable confidence in yourself and your work, it’s just sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me, which then makes the whole overthinking cycle even stronger. It’s an uphill climb for sure, but this video made me feel so sure about what it is that I am trying to accomplish. Thanks Erin 💕!
