Answer Today's Quiz here: 1. Perfect peace is the result of: A. Inaction B. Detachment C. Persuasion 2. How do we keep our mind from wondering off to worldly objects?
@prasad866
@prasad866 3 жыл бұрын
1. Detachment 2. By controlling desires along with giving up attachments, sense of possession, ego and pride. This is achieved by clearly understanding that the chasing of wordly desires is the path of darkness and quest for spiritual wisdom and turning inward is the path of light and peace. Beautiful example of Swamiji's life🙏🙏🙏 So inspiring and motivating 🙏🙏🙏

Beautiful. God is showing me detachment. All my life, I worked for wealth. Today, I have gotten ancestral possesions and my troubles started when I started getting them. Having possesions in my name and long education from the USA and Europe, I am facing problems to get money! I have understood that God wants me to be humble, detached and helpful to society. Only by chanting Gods name for more than two hours everyday, I have achieved peace. I have started to appreciate all the blessings that I receive from God everyday. Gratitude to God🙏🙏🙏

Keeping peace of mind is indeed intricate but essential. It is so easy to lose the state of peace as soon as we get too engrossed and focused into works. May be one thread of the mind has to continuously work to remind us to not get too deeply involved or lost into the work at hand. Thanks so much for this message!

Hare Krishna. In today’s material world it is very difficult to give up desires, unless you sacrifice everything and go into the forest. Today parents desire the best for their children, the beggars desires food a better life etc. Everyone is at sometime looking for something. Please explain in more detail not just from scripture but from reality

Brilliant 🙏👌 Swamiji, I love to go on pilgrimage... visit all divine places, does this amount to desires ? And in order to fulfill this, I kind of set aside some money. 😁
@HOLYBHAGAVADGITA
@HOLYBHAGAVADGITA 3 жыл бұрын
Having desires is natural, and they can be spiritual desires or material desires. Desiring for spiritual growth and engaging in spiritual activities is superior than desiring material growth. Saving money for pilgrimage is a noble desire if this helps us in strengthening our faith in God and develop an attitude of service towards God. Contemplate on your purpose or intention in visiting sites of pilgrimage. If you are aspiring to grow spiritually and it helps you in that objective, then it's a worthy cause.

Ans 1 B 2 By realizing the true nature of Jiv, Ishwar and Maya we can attain everlasting peace. Everything born of Maya is perishable. It can never give everlasting peace or happiness. Jiv, which is Divine in nature can attain perpetual peace only and only in God. If we have a copper coin and if some one gives us silver coin, automatically our attachment for copper coin will diminish. Now if someone offers us a gold coin, our attachment for silver coin will go. Likewise when we realize the Grandeur of God, there is nothing in the world than can detach us from God. That bond is forever. " Surpur narpur nagpur e tin mein sukh nahi, kan sukh hari ke charan mein kan santan ke mahin."

1. Detachment 2. Worldly objects are not permanent, Vedic text says "Brhama is Nithyaha", permanent is GOD, and we are also a tiny part of GOD, so we also Nithyaha Vedic text says "Aham Nithyaha". Contemplating this in our mind, we naturally go away from worldly objects. How we found the colour of an object by using our Eyes. here is Eye is pramanam, Iinstrument) Similarly Telling the truth about GOD and me and my relationship with GOD is Vedas, Here Vedas is Pramanam (Instrument). I honestly feel like the whole don't desire thing is bad advice. We live in a material world and spiritual world. I do agree you can't go around desiring prostitutes or crack cocaine but I am a living breathing soul. I'm gonna want things. Love. Honesty. Friends. Freedom. Nature. Peace. Respect. I need new shoes, I want them, I desire them. So, Krishna wants me to walk around with busted feet bc desire is bad? I desire to see my kids do well. I desire to have a beautiful female mate. I desire to have access to fun recreational hobbies. I do not desire bad things. I desire good things. I desire the best things. I have had a full kundalini awakening and everyday I feel so good when I wake up and I desire that so I eat accordingly. I think accordingly. I carry myself accordingly. I desire all of those things. I would just lay around like a lump until I decayed or mushrooms grew from me or something. It's the quality of your desires that must be held in check. A desire less person is a slave bc then they will be subject to the desires of others and that's unhealthy

Dear friend, the perception of 'good desires' or 'bad desires' is corelative. Desires that beholds from attaining the self realization are to be thrown out of the window. The accumulation of memory and logics in our mind destines our bliss and misery. Let God alone reside in our consciousness. Just leave the habit of giving importance to your mind's chatters and philosophical arguments. Don't trap yourself in the realm of what we know very very little. May peace be within you and may you have all the answers you cherish to life. God bless you and protect you.
