So good! I went on a 20 year self love journey and taught thousands to do the same, until I finally saw the truth of my own error because, after all that time, I still could not do it! Acceptance IS Love🙏

Wow, you have no idea what a synchronicity this message is for me right now 🤯🤯… the pressure to love oneself is exhausting… I find the more I loosen my grip on trying to control the “negative” thoughts and feelings, trusting I am safe to be in the experience of whatever is arising the more I relax into peace and a natural state of love arises on its own… thank you Jeff!!💞🩵🙏 So many false light gurus out there preaching about needing to love yourself and leading ppl into spiritual bypassing often causing more damage and trauma to ppl 🥹

Not every practice works well for everyone, and sometimes it's a matter of timing. The self-love practice was very powerful for me as it transmuted and transformed what nothing else seemed to touch, and it awakened something that I would describe as the universal heart. This changed my outlook, from the way I view other people to the way I view my circumstances and all of life. For example, it brought a beautiful felt sense of oneness with nature and an ability to see other people as innocent regardless of how they express. For myself, I would go so far as to describe it as a fundamentally important aspect of awakening. It's a different awakening than transcendence and oneness. A couple of important keys that I found to the practice of self-love: 1. Surrender. Don't try to use self-love to push things away or to try to force something to heal. Then the attempt to love will be stuck in ego and willfulness and will not have the power of the deeper love that proceeds from Source. 2. Be Unconditional. It doesn't matter how you feel or what you believe. Do the practice unconditionally. Do it no matter how you feel at the time and do it without any expectations of what it will accomplish. 3. If it doesn't reveal anything to you then just drop it and move on. Rest assured that there is a great power to the self-love practice and it's not just some new-age BS.

Amazing! I haven’t watched your videos for years and I wasn’t consciously looking for this, but it was exactly the message I needed to hear. Just 5 minutes ago I was writing a letter to myself with a similar content. Then I felt resistance and saw myself ‘running away’ from it. In my running I encountered this video, which completed the message I was looking for. I choose to be the guesthouse. Thank you so much Jeff.❤

I started a friendship with myself 2,5 years ago and after an question what haven’t I done. Friendship was one of them. I have a strange relationship with friendships in general, in terms of how to do that or how to be in that. So starting fresh together with HeartMath breathing (I was doing for 2 years) and came up with my own mantra ‘Hi’ what evolved to ‘welcome’,… it’s like a song, repeating the same word or frase. During my inner-journeys I became aware that when I’m fixing and trying to change it always came with the fact that I had to be wrong in the first place to say I need to fix or change. Now I’m approaching myself’s with ‘Hi’ having a beer around the fireplace and just being present. Boy oh boy what a change, without a change. I come across the cosmic joke at times and one of them is ‘I will never ever change’ how can I and why? Yes in this stage of life I’m just okay, nothing is wrong. So everyone is so busy with this whole ‘Now, here and being present, while not being aware that this is ‘IT’ and it is okay, it is somehow in balance with me in it whole-heartedly, right now as I am. Yes this thing about loving oneself is asking something that no human-being has been able to explain what Love is. So maybe friendship is a great start, I think so. It’s all about ‘from where do I start’ because if I don’t know where I am, how can I start from how I am right now. Self-care and mind hygiene is now part of my life. I also discovered that half of my questions where complete BS, all the outcomes of those questions would end nowhere or support me in any way chape or form. Just that alone gave me a lot of energy and space. The friendship with me is ever growing, evolving and it’s becoming more and more exciting and adventurous. I truly wish for everyone a great friend that is always with you to support and grow to the most connected version of you right now. Warm wishes Xavier

I have been on this inner battle for self-love for some time, infact I made it my purpose! When I didn't do acts of love towards myself, I felt guilty. I realised today I am attached to the guilt, and that is why I sabotage myself all the time, so my mind can feed of the guilt, so to speak. The art of letting go is harder than it looks when you know you've attached yourself to something earlier on in life and used it as a guise so no one else could do it. I didn't realise this till today. Thank you. ❤

It's actually really simple. When you try to love yourself you are creating an aspect of yourself that isn't loving. If you loved yourself, then you wouldn't need to try to love yourself. You would just love yourself. Fortunately there is already a part of us that is always loving. This is the very part of ourselves that our ego distorts in order to love ourselves. When we aren't loving ourselves it is actually us trying to live ourselves through the filter of incorrect thinking. We learned early on that if we minimized ourselves and were self-deprecating, then we would experience love from others. The intention was pure: to receive love. The method was flawed. Everything we ever do we do because we believe it will benefit us in some way. If we didn't believe it would, then we wouldn't do it. It's that simple, and that's the core of us that is always loving. Get in touch with that easily found center and you will more easily be able to untangle the beliefs you hold that do not bring you the experiences you prefer.

So powerful, so loving, so free, so life enhancing, so true, thank you! Decades ago, I realised that the huge rage I felt sometimes was not my own creation, rage was at my disposal, and it surely had a function in life... cute insight! I do not remember who said that we are here as humans to experience everything that we are not as divine beings, an incredibly liberating statement.

I think, instead of forcing to love yourself fully, it could start by accepting totally who you are. And from that point, start walking the steps towards what you want, meaning knowing yourself deeper, planning best things for you and start making changes with love and patience, understanding it is a process and it takes time and help.

Thanks for sharing! Great talk Jeff! I agree 100%: Meditation is experiencing our actual experience and not just an ideal or pleasant, or self-lloving experience. Self love is a temporary mindstate and ungraspable and unsustainable. It shouldnt be the goal. Also, self-love doesnt make a lot of sence, when there is no self. Why focus on loving a deluded sence of self, when one can pursue the realization of the true self!? No need to love onself, just remove all of the delusions that result in self-hate and the hatred of pain. When the self-hate is gone, and when pain is accepted as natural and neccessary, then the suffering is gone, and then peace of mind can be experienced, no matter what thoughts and sensations are our guests at the present moment. Cheers!🙂❤👍✌💯

Ho, thanks. It makes me think of a book I read one day where it was mentioned that God asked questions to those who came to him. In fact, it was certainly something metaphysical since it talked about revenge, anger etc. And he listened to his guests who wanted to sit on the throne and to their pretensions. Each time he refused them because he wanted only intelligence coupled with wisdom to reign. I ll will question who want to move my body mind... Thank you for this reminder!.

Self-love isn’t something you just have-it’s something you earn. Start by fixing your morning routine and eating clean. Morning discipline and a healthy diet alone can make you feel better about yourself. If you’re stuck in addictions like gaming or overeating, it’s because you’re avoiding yourself. That pain you feel is a signal-it’s Love calling you back to who you truly are. Align with your passions, face the pain, and let go of distractions. Then, have compassion for yourself-like a mother nurturing her child. When you start living a life that aligns with your true nature, it’s like shedding an old skin. Self-love stops being something you do-it becomes who you are.

Like so much, we tend to have the worst, most false definition of the best, truest things. Love and Loving oneself is probably the top instance of this. We see "love" as favor (bias toward), conditional allowance, spoiling (not caring), and just not being ugly towards (while keeping it as an option depending on conditions). It's really just accepting and opening the heart towards, which sounds simple but is very much against our collect late western conditioning.

First realize that there is no one to love. What we think of as "ourselves" or even "parts of us" are just mental constructs. Without thought they all disappear, and so does the sense of a separate self. There is only creation, which is love, so just be that.
