i was recommended to do a short management course by a supervisor because I am hard working I took up the offer reluctantly after much coaxing from my colleagues and I truly hate it and each time they ask me to do other courses in management I turn it down even though I will be paid a little higher

Brittany This happened to my brother he is a excellent truck hire fitter, they wanted him be a manger, flattered but with my experience, nearly had a break down, he loves fixing things seeing how things work, he missed that tool so much. Janet from Idaho, we break down monthly bills into chunks and have everything on autopay. I get paid biweekly, so pay mortgage, electric, cable, etc 2x monthly. Autopay smaller amounts every week may help you catch up. I have everything taken out on payday so the only money really left in acct is food and gas.

Janet from Idaho, I take out cash 2 weeks worth of groceries. I put everything on auto pay. It will pay the first half of the month. I repeat this process on my second check. I take out cash enough for 2 weeks of groceries. Any leftover money will go back to fund the 2nd half groceries. Pay the remaining bills. I put extra money into the debt using the snowball.

Every Dollar app doesn't work in Canada, I wanted to use here in the Toronto area. "Not available in your region". Tried to order a couple Dave's books from the Ramsey website, they don't ship into Canada either. Had to buy them from Amazon, overpaid for them, but they'll both be delivered by July 29..

I don't think Dave tries to sell in Canada really hard but let's just be realistic. For every Canadian there are almost 10 Americans so which places has the most buying power potential? He might have to offer the book in both official languages too (maybe even Spanish) which I think would be smart, but I just don't know if enough people in Québec or México would buy?

I think you can still use EveryDollar, but the desktop version. I seem to remember someone from England saying that is what they do. I highly recommend EveryDollar though. Just doing a budget will change your life. Good luck on your journey. ♥from Kentucky.

Not that I know anything, but for some ground work in her area those home are booked years in advanced and bring in around $2,500 a week in the summer. There are never empty homes in the summer…… it is soooo tempting!!! I hear you Kathy!!!😂

My theory on becoming a multimillionaire is: 1) stocks 2) bonds 3) degree/certificates/licensings 4) extensive work experience 4) (sba vs conventional) loans 5) provide a service and product that people need as a bare necessity. 6) advertisements to bring in business 7) employees, hire!

Hello Folks, I'm 59 y.o. I have a house in a neighborhood that has had neighbor turnover and now the yards have gone to pot. I have $78K left on this house loan which is worth approximately $300K. My pre-qualification loan person says that this house should sell quickly and indeed, the houses in this neighborhood go within a month. She also says something about getting the house that I want, taking out something called HELOC loan ...and when it sells I can pay it off. Can somebody help. The house that I want has a basement and an upstairs, I've never lived in a house with those things! It was built in '36 I have always wanted to have an historic house. The Carriage House was converted into a garage.

Check out target date funds. I've had mine at Vanguard for almost 20 years. Very low fees, mostly follows the S&P and slowly transitions to bonds (safer) as you get older.

The market has gone up. Year to date all of my funds are up 9- 16%. Very close to the pre pandemic balances which is the roller coaster ride advice Dave gives. I won't lose money because I didn't get off. Riding the waves.... 😊

I don’t get the logic of the first bit of advice about selling the rental condo. Is it because mortgage rates are so high? Wouldn’t the rental income from the condo help pay a lot towards the interest on the new house mortgage? $100,000 household income is quite high so a high mortgage could be paid off reasonably quickly.

Well that's a pathetic attitude. That's like saying nobody should celebrate their 40th birthday because living to 40 is not the achievement it once was (at one point the average life expectancy was about 40). It's not the finish line, but the million dollar marker is a marshal in a race telling you are running the right way. It is and always will be better to be a millionaire than not.

I own two paid houses that are worth 1.1 million together. I live in one and rent the other. And the one I rent out pays for property taxes and monthly grocery expenses. The one I live in well it’s paid off. But the point is that having a mil doesn’t feel at all like im a millionaire. A millionaire should be considered when your income is 1 mil a year free and clear

I was confused by that too. I think he means 15k a year for seven years once the mortgage is paid off. The investing combined with the value of the home work together to up the net worth. He's probably speaking anecdotally based on what he's observed with what happened with people they have helped.

@donaldlyons17 simple anwser is.... in a day and age where most ppl are living paycheck to paycheck... overwhelming debt and no idea of how money works.... its easier to make ppl net worth millionaires then cash millionaires.....for most to just have 3 to 6 months in savings and a paid off home would 100x most ppls lives

So you're not gonna like the answer... The Ads are tailored to your accounts and are based on your online activity and behavior. So either someone sharing your account is accessing content that then drives the algorithm to give you such ads, or you are.

Ramsey is wrong on telling the first caller to sell his condo and putting the money down on new house. The condo is going to have a much bigger return than what the interest on new house is going to be. He can always sell it if he needs to. He would get his new house paid for faster with the income and then have two paid off properties. Ramsey goes overboard sometimes on never having debt. Some debt is good

Listen to any call-in show, especially sports talk, most hosts answer the question and disconnect.... no time for niceties trying to get as many calls in with lots of callers on hold. But yeah, I used to think the same thing especially when the caller is having an emotional moment 😄

No it's not. Owning debt free rental properties is AWESOME! CHING-CHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. AND NO RISK. And I get to be picky about my tenants, no rush, no stress. And even if they were all vacant....I can easily afford the taxes. Dave was and is right. The borrower is enslaved to the lender. You also become enslaved to tenants if you "need them to pay rent" to pay a mortgage.
