I use the O rings but I use 2 and cross them. That way I can hook the sinko side ways but the hook doesn't need to go into the worm. The hook goes behind the x where you cross the rings. You go through a lot of o rings but I've caught 6-7 fish on each bait. The problem I have is the o rings are to tight sometimes and cut the sinko. So I stretch them with pliers a bit before putting them on the sinko.

I have been doing that for a long time I take my o rings and put a drop of oil or bait fuel on them and put them on the tube and almost to the end and let them sit for 5-10 mins on the deck an they heat up and from the sun and it’s a happy medium they good and tight but don’t cut into the senko 👍🏼👍🏼

You might want to try silicone tubing and cut your own what I call "collars". The silicone tubing is available in multiple ID sizes on the popular E site by the foot. I precut the collars about 5 mm wide and slide them onto the worm like you would a ring. They are tough and allow me to hook the worm crossways through the collar which allows the worm to hang right. You will be hooking at least part way through the worm, but the width and thickness of the collar helps protect the worm from tearing as easily as it would by just hooking through the worm. I have found that using the tubing collar can make the worm last for 5 to 10 times as many fish as the worm hooked without the collar. Cheaper than the store bought crossovers too for those of us on a more limited budget.

You are right about that. There is really no way that you can be guaranteed to wacky rig a soft plastic without any damage to the bait, but there are a few ways to mitigate the extent of the damage and the amount of baits that get torn up and money lost. Every dollar counts, especially these days. Even the traditional rigs will cost us some baits, but the wacky rig will lose us more of our gear. The trade off, as I and many others see it, is in numbers of fish that will hit a wacky that will not hit the more traditional rigs. Good luck with your bass fishing.@@tonypetrik7430

I’m a big fan of these rings they are amazing and because of them I don’t feel bad buying a more expensive senko anymore because they are truly on there, plus if you lose the worm you can still get the band back MOST of the time. personally I love the 5mm size because I can use a smaller worm too and still have it fit a fatty senko but you’re right I do have to be gentle with the band and the worm to make it work. Still money we’ll spent.

As always great video. Thanks Sir! Hey need some help. I fish Zoom Ultravibe and CuttR worms a lot and do well. I have been using Red or Chartuese dye on the tails. Today on Gunter. I missed about 20-30 bites because the bass are grabbing the tail only. I had several fish fight to the boat (thinking I had them hooked) and then just let go of the tail of the bait. I need some mojo on this??? Any suggestions? I did try delaying the hook set to allow the fish to eat the entire bait. Tried Bait Fuel too. No dice!

I’ll save y’all some money. Use a Zman Zinkerz (stick bait) and hook it in the very outer surface of the worm and once you see the hook point come out go back in one more time so you are actually piercing it twice. It hangs just like your presentation and I never have them come off. The elaztech keeps it on the hook like that.
@Bass_attack7755
@Bass_attack7755 Жыл бұрын
Without weight zman would be useless.
@TWC6724
@TWC6724 Жыл бұрын
@@Bass_attack7755 Actually, the ZinkerZ do sink. I had to try it for myself before I started buying them because I used to exclusively use Yamamoto senko’s but they must put in more salt content into the Zinkerz because they do indeed sink and last me a lot longer time. But you are right, most of the elaztech float so you just have to know your baits and what applications work best for Zman stuff.

Mike great video. I have used those for 1.5yrs now. I have a neko rig tied on 12 months a year. The xzone deception worm works great on Lake Lanier rigged up like this. The wacky rig set up with a Yamamoto bait, for me, works great with a 5mm cross over. It has definitely changed the game for these two set ups. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Fyi, that looked like Lanier water in your video. Lol
