I travel to afghanistan a lot and it's illegal to film without registering yourself at the tourism board in the province you're in and the man was doing it before registering himself, so illegally. The Taliban wanted to run his name and ID to make sure he's up to board. You should also have the papers with you at all times alongside passport and that white card they give you at the airport

Only lster when the Taliban retreated ingernational forces put boots on the ground en mass. In the beginning they only supported the Afghans with airstrikes and special forces. Don't forgeh that the Taliban are the invaders. They are no Afghans. Yoi need to check the history of Afghanistan and the invasion of 2001.
