Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today, I received an urgent call to tow a semi truck and loaded trailer off the shoulder of the interstate with our Rotator #11, which is our Peterbilt 389-X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R. Ethan and Gavon bring out our traffic control unit #16 to help traffic SLOW DOWN MOVE OVER, as well as helping me with the hookup and towing prep. It may not seem like it, but a standard, everyday tow, such as this one, is one of the most dangerous parts of our job as towing & recovery operators due to traffic and inattentive drivers. The current U.S. statistics show one towing - recovery operator struck every six days!!! That is higher than the number of police and fire struck-bys combined. So, as I always ask, please SLOW DOWN MOVE OVER for ANY person or vehicle on the side of the road. You could be saving a life and not ruining yours!!! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

I have been a construction worker for decades, and I have learned that it's important to recalibrate my hammer sights every day. Misalignment is caused by a multitude of factors, including (but not limited to) temperature, humidity, energy level, ambient lighting, and what song is on the radio. Love your videos, glad you are staying safe out there.

Ron it amazes me how alot of people seem to lack some common sense and common courtesy. I move over everytime a vehicle is on the side of the road whether it's say you doing your job to an abandoned vehicle. Part of my job besides hauling freight is to keep myself safe and try to keep everyone around me as safe as I can. I understand things just happen but I couldn't live with myself if someone got hurt or lost their life if im involved even if it wasn't my fault. But we all have to help each other out there. And now since the cold and winter is coming its going to get difficult for all of us. Keep up the good work my friend and I know the man above is looking watching over us. Have a good day

The slow down move over law is necessary, but a minority of folks do not recognize the need to do it. Whenever I can, I get over and if I cannot, I slow down and move over in my lane as much as possible. It is simply the safe thing to do and should be common sense. Great video, as always, Ron.

I don't know if you remember the video where I asked about a 2011 international roll back flat bed, anyways, you had told me to ask the dealer about the engine and Trans to avoid a maxxforce engine... well the day I called them they had sold it that morning and it DID have a maxxforce engine so I appreciate the input you gave me at the time I'll remember it for the future for sure but it looks like for the time being my aspiration of being they guy people call for help is going to be put on hold and I'll just keep doing my good samaritan work that I've been doing for ten years (stopping for pulled over vehicles to make sure they have a certified person to call. And by the way you should see the traffic advisory lights I have on my ram for when I stop to check on people, they really are phenomenal tho not as mush so as yours.

Ron, I began my career as a paramedic and retired as a flight nurse. During all of those years working hand in hand with men like you and other emergency response teams; the total lack of concern by passing motorists (their only concern was getting from point A to point B, without pausing for anyone or anything else) was always terrifying. The only thing worse is "lookie loos". God bless you, your crews; and all other response teams

Another awesome video. Good to see Ethan and Gavin working with you. Obviously this video was done in the summer, because I know it isn’t that warm there in Missouri now.. I think that was only the 2nd time I have seen you called out for a Schneider truck. Good thing it wasn’t a brand new truck. Newer trucks (2019 and newer) have a piece on the bumper that hangs down about 4 inches off the roadway ( for aerodynamics). They should have a law to get people to slow down and move move over. Oh wait they do!! It should also be common sense (but we all know it isn’t that common)..... Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless

I think a lot of people get tunnel vision when they get on a road especially a major highway. Really oblivious to the world and anything around them. Maybe it would all do us a big favor if we took a refresher course in driving. I remember back in 1971 when I doing my student driver training .My instructor made us call out everything on road. Traffic signs, other signs traffic lights if there was another motor vehicle beside us. That made us concentrate on everything on the road instead of being mindless!

I drove an old B61 Mack sling type wrecker, It had a small engine with a quadruplex transmission in it and would wear you out going through a lot of redlights. it wouldnt pull em fast but it would pull them. lol Those under reaches sure made things a lot easier. 3:50 This problem stems from how we're taught how to handle emergency situations in driver's ed. I'm 27, so still fairly fresh on the rules in a sense, and in PA the rule was move over *or* slow down, implying that if you're in the left lane you can still rip on by at 70-75-80 mph. It was the same in VA, FL, and OH. I imagine it's the same in MO. Humans love to take things at face value, where critical thinking is a luxury. Just look at how many fights break out over text messages. Maybe we need to lobby congress to start a new campaign that states move over *and* slow down.

Since I’ve been watching your channel, I’ve noticed that a lot of drivers feel the need to drop the trailer before any thing has been determined.

That driveshaft was getting very close to the blue wrench treatment. You have the patience of a saint.

That one seemed so complicated. Don’t know how you remember everything that must be done and then checked. Also how you know where everything is in what compartment. You work and teach those working with you are safe and understand why they do it a certain way...Blessings. 🙏👠👠
