I know there are schools that teach welding, here in the U.S. they are called vocational schools. Why aren’t our students building things like this to be given free to third world countries, where the people are desperate for heating and cooking stoves? It will also get rid of the metal waste we have in our junk yards and land fills. This man is a genius!!’

It's a great idea to utilize vocational schools or technical education programs to train students in skills like welding, which could then be applied to create useful products like heating and cooking stoves for communities in need. Many vocational schools do offer programs in welding and other trades, and some may even have projects or initiatives focused on community service or international development.

When they took shop classes out of Schools we went from builders to buyers.Chip Foose made that Comment and he's right.I moved back to where I graduated High School from in 1985.My old Shop teacher is one of my neighbors.Kinda funny he's only 4 years older than Iam.He and An art teacher we had were 2 of the best teachers I had.A friend of Mines Wife is a High School Math Teacher.I was visiting him when his Wife came home and he asked what was wrong? She said a Student called her a B****.I said if I would have done that my Dad worked 50 Miles away and he would be there as soon as I finished saying it and knock me out.I grew up in the Generation you didn't make your Parents look Bad.If you did it would not go well for you.We live in a small community and everybody knows everybody.

Very well said. Some people are just envious and salty. They lack creativity and maturity so they do what they do best and that is Criticize and talk crap and try to put a smarter and more creative person down. They don't contribute to ANYTHING positive because they themselves are either bullies, racist, lousy critics or just pieces of 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 in general!. You do really good work my friend 👍👍. Keep doing what you do and ignore all of the haters and saltiness 😂😂

@lmtn 4 ай бұрын

I live in a convention home but in the past, I built my own place and someone gave me a wood stove. I also helped a man build an Earthship and used passive solar to heat it. The thermal mass of the earthen walls stored the heat gathered during the day and slowly gave the heat off at night.

@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
I understand! If you're looking for a quieter video without music, you might want to try searching for videos with keywords like "ambient sounds," "nature sounds," or "ASMR" (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). These types of videos often feature calming sounds like rain, ocean waves, or gentle tapping, which can be very relaxing without the distraction of music. You can find such videos on platforms like KZbin or specialized ASMR channels. If you have any specific preferences or needs, feel free to let me know, and I can provide more tailored recommendations!

Please, if you're going to put out fabrication videos for people to emulate, learn how to weld properly. Your "technique" produces porous, cold lapped, dirty welds that lack penetration. Sorry, but just dribbling little spots of filler metal here and there cannot produce a quality weld. What is especially concerning is that this finished product is going to be subjected to intense heat/cool cycles that will likely crack those "welds", releasing toxic fumes into the building. 15 year certified pipeline welder speaking.
@lmtn
@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback and expertise. It's important to ensure that fabrication techniques are safe, effective, and produce high-quality results, especially when it comes to projects that may be subjected to intense heat or other challenging conditions. Creators who share fabrication videos should indeed prioritize safety and quality in their work, including proper welding techniques to ensure the integrity of the final product. Your insights as a certified pipeline welder are valuable, and highlighting the potential risks associated with substandard welding practices is crucial for the safety of both creators and those who may attempt to replicate the projects. It's essential for creators to continuously improve their skills and knowledge, including learning proper welding techniques, seeking certifications or training when necessary, and adhering to industry standards and best practices. By doing so, they can contribute to the production of safe, reliable, and high-quality fabricated products. If you have specific recommendations or advice for improving welding techniques in fabrication videos, I encourage you to share them constructively with creators to help them enhance the quality and safety of their work. Thank you again for your valuable input.

Use a portable plasma cutter. Ditch the grinder and cutting wheels.
@lmtn
@lmtn 4 ай бұрын
Using a handheld plasma cutter can be a more efficient and accurate method for cutting metal. Plasma cutters can cut a variety of metals quickly and accurately, making them a good choice for projects that require clean, precise cuts. By switching to a plasma cutter, you can save time and effort compared to using grinders and cutting wheels. Additionally, plasma cutters tend to produce less waste and thermal distortion on the metal, resulting in a cleaner and smoother surface.
