His trick tips videos were so good. Other skaters who did them were terrible. They are probably so used to doing the trick that they just have a "feel" for it, so they can't explain how to do it at all. One guy was trying to explain a hardflip, and was like "you kind of do a flick outward motion with your front foot... and the board will go between your legs like this *rotates board lazily*... then you catch it." Jeremy knew exactly how to explain the tricks he showed.

Not sure if Jeremy Wray knows how many people he inspired. I remember being a 6 year old kid in some cow village (Kuhkaff) in Germany watching this clip on THPS 1 in 1996 and thinking: "This is wizardry but it's real and if this guy with the baggy jeans can do it, so can I". Got my parents to buy me a board and started skating. Met the best people, had the best time, had the worst injuries, don't regret one shred of it. Jeremy, you are THE man.

Thought J Wray's colour part intro ollie could have been included too just for the freakish distance, but I think like Jaws I can appreciate they simply both have too many mind blowing examples to recall - their CV's are stacked full of obscene stunts :D what a fantastic piece Storied!!!

Can you imagine being that family at the bottom when Jaws Ollie’s those Louisville blocks? Every time any of them go back there they’ll always tell people “you’re not gonna believe this but I saw some kid jump this on a skateboard, and roll away.” I wonder if they ever found the video of it or if they have any clue of just how huge this was for the sport. @@jshredad6217 after this comment I realized I recognized the rail from another video. Back in 2002 we had a local video premiere(Chicago area. The video was called “A Midwest Video”)and one of our hometown heroes 50-50’d that rail as his ender. To add to it Neen Williams was in the background celebrating when the guy rolled away. Neen had the last part in the video, this was probably more than a decade before the mainstream skateboarding world knew about him. The video is on KZbin if you wanna look it up. To be honest I liked Neens skateboarding more back then than I do since he’s been pro. Back then he had a lot of variety in his tricks, it wasn’t all heelflips and pop-shuv’s. If you type in “Steve Fauser Midwest video” the first result will be the part with the 50-50 on that rail, it’s the ender. The channel name that posted the video is “blogafonte.” You can also find the whole video that has Neen’s part in it too by typing in “A Midwest Video blogafonte,” Neen has the very last part.

8:51 one of our hometown heroes 50-50’d that rail back in like 2001-2002, the one Jaws says David Loy wanted to skate at the blocks. All these years later and I recognized that white rail and knew I saw it before. Dudes name was Steve Fauser from the Chicago area. If you type in “Steve Fauser Midwest Video” his part will be the first result and is posted by a channel called blogafonte. The 50-50 is the ender. Edit: can’t believe I didn’t think to mention Neen Williams was in the same video, this is over a decade before he started popping up on the radar of mainstream skateboarding. Actually when dude lands the 50-50 I think you can see him celebrating after he lands it

Was the water tower height really 40 feet? Over 12 meters? 😱The video does not do it justice. Anyway, definitely the gnarliest ollie ever! Although when I saw the video of Jaws jumping down the Louisville blocks, my first thought was - ok, this is an animation, there is no way that's real.

The fact I've seen the water towers ollie makes me believe that's probably the most famous one. I've never really been a fan of skateboarding, always a BMX fan but I have so much respect for skateboarding and that ollie over the water towers was insane! Jaw's is insane as well though, had I seen those back in the day I'd be saying they were tied haha. No way my legs/back could take any of those landings. Different breeds for sure!
