2nd comment. I also wanted to say my grandpa is 99 yrs old and he is in hospice and we have been called in cause it’s time for him to be with my grandma who’s been gone for 26 yrs now and your videos help take my mind off what’s happening right now. My grandpa loved the outdoors. I’m sad to see him go but at least he’ll be out of pain.

This is absolutely true, I was an avid no dog/animal person... I made fun of people who talked about their dog like it was family....and when they died, oh well they just died..... Fast-forward 2 years ago... My wife came home with a stupid little dog, we didn't get along we didn't like one another... He got on my last nerve....now..... I'd take a life over this dog... If I lost him my whole world would go to hell....fast ... It's crazy how they grow on ya... Lol

So ironic. I had to let my sweet dog go today. She would have been 17 on May 10th. She was the daughter we never had. Lost my wife of 41 years to cancer in July 2021 and now my sweet Lacy. This house is already so quiet I don’t know if I can stand it. Love you girl!

I love watching both you and Tony. It was so sad that he has lost precious Bruce and even harder since he was on the other side of the world when it happened. As an Aussie it's always good to see others that have a great sense of humour as some people just don't get it. Just as you have said some people don't get the fun banter you guys have between each other. It makes me wonder about the lives of people who just don't get it. Keep the videos coming. I love them.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It's great to connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate the fun that we have in our videos. By the way, if you're into camping and RVing, I highly recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods, perfect for those off-grid adventures. It's built tough with a mecha design and features a massive 5kWh capacity, quick recharging, and comprehensive protections. Happy camping!

I've had the T4 for years and it's been in some strong thunderstorms while camping and I didn't experience any leaking at all. I noticed your zippers were at the bottom, I always put mine at the top. It does really well in high winds if staked out properly. I'm very happy you're reviewing it and hope you like it as much as I do in the end!

Same, the amount of water he found is very minor compared to what gets tracked in on footwear and clothes. Besides, most people would be sleeping on cots or inflated mats instead of the hard ground. I would definitely look into getting one of those tents for bike camping.

I was excited to see the test of this Gazelle T3 as I have had a T4 since 2019. My family and I have had great success with this tent in long term rain durations with no leaking. The wind blown rain in your video did allow water in but we went through 36 hours of continuous, moderate rain in the Georgia mountains with no water inside. Keep up the good work!

My son and my Aussie just miss her so bad. She was the sweetest dog ever. I can't imagine what Tony is going through this is going to hurt him for a long time especially since he was taking Bruce on his trips with him every time he went camping. Great video, I have one, and have used it quite a bit in northern Maine, the Allagash region and it’s been through some nasty all night thunder storms, and performed flawlessly. We have a T4 and experience the same minor leaking after heavy storms. The doors are the primary weakness, especially getting in and out while it's raining unless you mitigate it with a tarp. I really like this tent. I don't think the small amount of water that found its way in makes it a serious problem. It's possible the leaky spot could be addressed, but it just appears to be highly comfortable and reliable. Besides how often do you get that type of extra heavy storm?! You know your camping region, that's what ultimately makes your decision.

I've been rocking the Gazelle for a few years now. It's been through some pretty good weather here in CO, and has withstood wind, rain, and snow. The only time mine has "leaked" was when I went exploring for the day, and left the rain fly off thinking it was not supposed to rain that day (I've lived here long enough to know better LOL) I came back to a pool! I don't think I can recall a time that there was more than just some little condensation spots on the floor, other than the day I messed up. I love the Gazelle!

We’ve been using the Gazelle T4 Overland for a couple years, for three season overland/ base camping. The zipper storm flaps on ours covers completely. We haven’t had any issues with leaking during weather events here in the PNW. Like any new tent, even though it was well seam taped we sealed all the seams again before using it. We’re really happy with ours and consider it worth the money we spent for it, and it was a better option than a rooftop tent for how we like to camp. As an aside, we use an inexpensive 72”x80” Harbor Freight moving blanket as a “carpet” for the inside of the T4. It saves wear and tear on the floor, especially from the dogs; it is lightweight, will fit inside the tent bag and adds a little comfort factor.

Aww bless, love Luke he’s so sweet. I emailed him once and he replied he’s so nice. I told him he’d love wild camping here in Scotland, whole different world. The water in the springs don’t even need filtered - well some of them you need to know lol.

Hi Luke. Love everything you do! I've purchased several items because of your honest reviews. I was just curious if you have considered mounting a awning on the "Cabin".

I think its a great looking tent. In my opinion I'd be quite happy with how this tent performed in this weather event. That's a small amount of water for how crazy that wind was. Cheers

In those type of conditions I don't expect anything made of fabric to be 100% dry. It's such a minimal amount of water I would be perfectly happy with that result.

That tent did well, given the circumstances. Hearing about the deluge of rain reminded me of the Hurricane Camille flooding in central Virginia in 1969. It was absolutely devastating. We lived about 20 miles north of some of the worst hit areas. They estimated at least 27 inches of rain fell in Nelson County overnight. The stories from survivors was heartbreaking and images of the aftermath are forever seared into my brain.

I'd probally get this tent. It is a good size. And to be honest I am shocked it was still standing after that storm. The price is not that bad either. I think it would make for a great car camping tent.

I love your set up here! I like that "patio" bricked in space you have off the cabin. It seems to have a built in space for your camp fire. WAY AWESOME!! The way you have your tarp positioned, this is how my DAD used tarps at our camp sites. WE had more than one. HE literally had one over the picnic table for shade, a second one which was large enough to cover the entrance of our tent, and create a covered walk way from the tent to the picnic table, then a third tarp covering the area of the campsite to the fire pit. This gave us shade from the hot sun in summertime--which could really be hot and then when it rained, we had a completely covered area! Plus he put down ground cover from the tents to the picnic table area, and then covered that with braided rugs. This kept our tent floors clean! Kept our feet dry too, and created dry paths for us to walk on. Remember he had 4 kids to keep track of and a dachshund! When he was done setting stuff up, about three hours, total, it looked like a mini villiage. WE stayed for about six nights and seven days, when we did this too. Gosh, we had so much fun, rain or shine. In Oregon you do get both!! Mom set up a mini kitchen at the end of the picnic table with a Colman two burner stove, and all of our ice chests, which all we had to do was to keep things iced down, and she froze everything before packing ready made meals! AS things thawed out, we ate those things first! She was a great cook, we had pancakes and eggs and sausage for breakfasts, and sometimes cereal and fruit. Lunch was sandwiches, or sometimes hot sandwiches. Dinners were sometimes burgers and hotdogs, or things like spaghetti, or mac and cheese or stroganoff. She always made s'mores. WE just liked to roast the marshmellows and then, eat the Hershey chocolate bars! She and DAD had instant coffee, and we kids had hot cocoa. NO matter how hot during the day, it was always chilly in the evening, in the camp ground, in the trees! We could hear the ocean waves at night! It is great memories! Watching you camp, brings back all those great memories I have as a child camping with my folks and my siblings. I enjoy the videos, thanks so much. Plus, we have homeless people in our city. Watching your videos, I get ideas on what stuff is good stuff to purchase to help out these folks. What are the good tarps, and kit bags, and water bottles, and stuff like that-our church has a ministry where we gather food, blankets, and toiletry items and we go around pass these things out to many of these folks. They want these items. They are so glad to have them. So thanks for giving me ideas on how to help these homeless campers. Some are families who have lost their homes, and do have working parents, just cannot afford the rent anymore or house payment. They are not bums. But we help everyone, we do not judge, even if someone would choose to be out there, we would help them too. I do not think anyone chooses to be homeless. God bless you, Luke.

Oh no that water thing is actually a myth, how much water you need depends on the fat content of your body, the temperatures around you, your physical activity, and roughly how much you’re eating. Your body is extremely sensitive to any changes in hydration so really all you need to do is drink when you feel thirsty. Otherwise you actually run the risk of over hydration, which will push out nutrients and stress your fluid retention systems.

Luke, you’re a pro. You probably already know there’s no set amount of water to drink. There are so many situations, sizes, physical types, that no one can arbitrarily set the amount you should drink. For example, I got in trouble with my hydration status in the Army. After one event hypovolemic shock, one’s body is a set up for easier heat exhaustion. Also, you’ve heard, drink when thirsty. Thirst is a late sign for my body. I need to force fluids.

I bought the onetigress cosmitto 2.0 grey tent and the tarp based on your reviews. I have to say, so far I am very satisfied. I had to put my cat down this week. He was my little buddy. He was always with me outside, no matter what I was doing, there he was. I already miss him.
