Probably the best scene in the film. Stephen Fry knows what he's doing with the character, nice update from the game boy to a DS.

The book did a strange time line They released over multiple years but Alex only ages from 14 to 15/16 His gadgets however have always aged up from the original start year

Minus the sort of Bond insouciance, there’s nothing for Alex to do in the scene. Stephen Fry’s doing a perfectly respectable Q knockoff, but Alex Rider just keeps repeating the last thing he said and having no character beyond that 😅

Ummm...so Anthony Horowitz made a teenage Bond. Cool idea, but it's literally written as James Bond too. There's literally no difference between any of the characters. He's better than that. I thought anyway.
