Great info, new to AoS. Love me the Annihilators and Prosecutors. Having hard time deciding between Decimators vs Draconian Guard. Might just get starter set to get small batch of both.

My favorites, from an esthetic point, are the Vanguard Units and the Sequitors. 8-)

A small unit of 3 prosecutors can be quite useful. I like the ones with the javelins since they can harass from range and have a better save. Against an opponent with a lot of shooting units, I will usually deep strike them along with my annihilators. They can then throw their javelins for some chip damage, and then charge the enemy before my other units to make them waste their 'unleash hell'. The 3+ save helps them to maybe survive the overwatch, and the 3d6 charge is pretty reliable even from 9". If you budget enough CP for a re-roll you have a very high chance to successfully make the charge. Once the enemy is tied up and can't unleash hell again, my annihilators charge in and wreck them. If the opponent is melee focused, then they are a nice distraction unit that can harass melee units from beyond their threat range, use their fast movement to quickly cap objectives and generally be an annoyance to the opponent. They aren't the most competitive unit, but the models are brilliant and their low points cost can make them useful for rounding out a list.

I’m just getting into playing AOS but I’m still confused about who I can use, I have most of the models from stormcast because I just love to build and paint but I would like to start playing. My question would be can I not mix and match if I want to play, say I had vanguard palladors could I not also use stormdrake guard ? Thanks so much for your videos, very descriptive and helpful

Yep you can use any stormcast unit with any other stormcast unit! Battleline units are a specific type of unit that you need at least 3 of for a regular match play game at 2K points.

Where in the book do I find all of this information? I get lost between the two rule books too easily.

The best place to find what units are conditional battleline tends to be in the back of the book in the points table. Or if you go to Warscroll Builder provided by Warhammer Community you can see which units are battleline if you have a specific general or subfaction.

Regarding Tempestors (Dracothian Guards with crossbows) : Not only their 6's score 2 hits, but every hit actually scores 2 hits. Which means they are actually marginally better than Judicators at shooting things, exceot for range. It makes them a very efficient and versatile unit, both very good at range (lots of attacks woth rend + mortals from the mounts) but also in melee (again, swords plus mounts), while being mobile (10") and tanky (3+ 6W). Very underrated unit IMO. It makes a very good battleline.
