Just to keep you guys updated, I'm in the last three weeks of my semester. It's getting pretty tough. I was gonna make this video way earlier, but just didn't have the time. I'm gonna make some monster hunter videos in-between until I finish Elden Ring. After all that, I'll try to make videos on different games, and of course Sunbreak when it releases. Godrick is a really awesome boss, and a look into his lore really highlights the sheer burden of his powerlessness compared to other demigods. This guy literally fled the capitol when the Shattering happened so he wouldn't get caught in the crossfire, got easily smacked by Malenia, (which is unsurprising, but-) and reacted by grafting people to himself for a fast-lane to strength, and after all that, he still wasn't strong enough to beat a measly fresh-risen Tarnished.

@@slipper1889 Get real close to its left side (your right) and stay beneath its arm dodge the first stamp and start wailing on it. When it does the grab attack, roll into it when it is at the peak of its jump roll twice if you are not comfortable with the timing. and then run to the same position to avoid the breath attack and wail on it. roll twice for the tail sweep and pray to god when it does the aoe because the hitbox is an enigma. The head slaps are easy to dodge if you notice the wind ups roll to the right for both of them and they wont touch you. When it does the over head head slam it normally follows up with the head sweep so don't wail on it until you have dodged both. In general you want to be right on top of it for most of the fight because its attacks are far reaching.

that intro hit a bit close to home. i am 350 hours in, level 231 and i only just reached the final 3 bosses, and i had to stop playing for the night before engaging. yeah, i've been really slow, and im a bit overleveled but i got basically every item in the game now, except for quest related ones i have locked myself out of. could i have been faster? certainly, but i wanted to gather everything before completing the game, thus it has been a long journey.

I am having a similar journey as you are, I am just traveling all throughout the map and just searching for every little thing. The funny thing about the huge map is that no matter how thoroughly you searched an entire continent of the map, you always manage to stumble upon a Cave, Tomb, enemy, NPC, or secret that you didn’t see when you first traversed one of those continents. The game’s world is massive and very fun to explore. The good side of all the exploration is the great stuff you find along the way, and becoming more powerful and over leveled as well.

@@anoojpatnaik1718 you'd think so, but i was running a bleed build and it turns out the elden beast is immune to all status effects, so it was actually quite a struggle. i got him eventually, but it took some 20-30 attempts, mostly due to the low damage i inflicted and the fact that the elden beast keeps running away like a bitch, causing me to chase after it and run out of stamina by the time i reach it.

Combat tips for Godrick: on the charge attack where he drags the axe, roll under his left arms. When he smashes the ground to bits, a jump or well timed roll let’s you stay close by to take advantage of the slow recovery.

i think it fits perfectly into his character. grafting seems to be how god(s) turn matter into life, or manipulate life as wanted. he can just take some limbs, sticks them together and they become alive. he has one of the most overpowered abilities one can imagine and he is just too stupid to use it. how he does the transformation mid fight as a desperate attempt to turn things around instead of already having a dragons head-arm just speaks for itself. this guy couldve done everything he wanted, he had the abilities of a god, but lacked its creativity.
