They had lost a lot of lives. There was a family of 11 that died in that storm and it’s heartbreaking to watch that but I watch every day hoping I’m praying they get the help. They need sad to say our government is not working fast enough. they never do. Thank you very much for them and prayers for you.

We had a lot of rain at my place too and the good side is, grass is green again 👌(first time after summer's heat waves), but the bad side😁, I have leakages in my aptm,( first time in 40 years) and I'm so close to the river! I can't believe we're going to have 28 degrees tomorrow, in the middle of the October, like I'm not living in Central Europe, but in Portugal, Greece.....?! Weather is going crazy! Stay safe Cindy & Co.🐕🐈🐽🐑❣️

Yes, but... we will continue driving cars and taking flights and over-consumption, won't we??? Because it's not us, it's them! Everyone else is responsible for carbon emissions but us.

Wild weather, Cindy. Rain we need, 100kph winds not so much. Trees down and power out this morning in Porto. Very grateful though I don’t live in Florida🙏. All the weeds cleared will be back in no time. Enjoyed your explanation of the hydrological cycle on Bela Pedra❤. Take care.

Tell me about rain!! Not one of the 3 grandchildren I have here fulltime ( their mum is in hospital) have a waterproof jacket..just got them on school bus, one with his sisters old puffa jacket with broken zip, the sister in my old farm jacket..neither is even showerproof any more but best we could come up with 😅 Big brother went hard-core teenager in just a jumper at 7 this morning,in crazy winds and pouring rain.

I know it’s worth someone when there’s storms and it’s wintertime over there like it is here and you need all the water we can get our water levels are low here on the states but we have city water so we don’t have to worry about that. I guess prayers and hoping that the best for you.

Good morning, Cindy, may I suggest you urgently buy a few more water containers for the sheep! One is not enough. They need to be pristine clean, filled with a new clean bucket only used for water. That makes it easier for you to pick up a used one and take it away to scrub with boiling water and know it is hygienic and place in a shady spot. Pigs only graze tops of grass not the sandy roots. Feeding them from a cement trough means they don't ingest tiny stones. Also warm mash can be given them in Winter. A broom can be kept specially for cleaning it out. As you do for the water trough. One cannot be too fussy as these animals are your investment and vets bills are to be avoided. Looks like "Kirk" had a fun time in your yard and will keep you out of mischief tidying it all up. Hopefully the cold weather will make you throw away the ghastly flip flop sandals, as if you read Google, they are the worst footwear for back problems. Slip on leisure ones will keep feet, clean and warm, dry and cared for. There must be places in CB like we have "Pick N pay clothing "for a few cheap pairs. And ofcourse a pair of rain boots for wet walking. Health and safety first.

If you follow the portuguese news such as RTPi, you'll know that elsewhere in Portugal several homes were lost in landslides, and orchards were uprooted, tones of fruit and olives have fallen from trees and are lost. The government & insurance compensation will not cover all the losses which will continue in the future as it takes 5 to 6 years fro a fruit tree to start producing. On the other hand, the rain is good to plant cabbages, turnips and winter crops. Why don't you grow food for the pigs in your land?
