I cannot express how enjoyable the Hollywood Heights tour was! You told many compelling stories that will plunge me down the rabbit hole of internet searches. Of course, being a Bette Davis fan, I loved the fascinating tale of her house and the wild Steven Anthony standoff. Hearing that was a first for me, and I could not help but note Oscar night and when police successfully raided the home happened on April 13th, my birthday even though I wasn’t born yet. Again, thank you for another wonderful tour.

Oh wow I've been looking forward to the next part after seeing 1&2. That is one of my favorite places in the world and the way you filmed it at the beginning, with that beautiful music, is gorgeous. As well as your lovely smile. Thank you for brightening my day.

Ok, I just finished watching the 7 episodes of Carrol Burnett and interview last night. Excellent work and it’s a “heart felt”type series you created…I was about to start the Carpenter’s series tonight but, we have a new episode so, I’ll watch this tonight and start Carpenter’s tomorrow night! Basically, I’m letting you know I’m enjoying your content and the way you present the stories. A real down to earth with tons of tuff to find knowledge and tons of your personal admiration for the topic which sinks into the viewer. Good work!

Another great video. Thank you. I really enjoy old school Hollywood stories before the world turned for the worst! The story telling you do keeps me watching. You add photos and aren't all dramatic and over the top. You're a true gem. I also love Nirvana! Just turned 50 this year so he was new to me and took a bit to get into

Oh I just hate when your videos walking these neighbourhoods ends. They really are fairytales and so characterful. Watching from the UK I so appreciate feeling like I’m there when that ain’t going to happen 😢. Great stories of history 👏🏻👌🏻✨🩷xx

Justin, this was par excellence 🤌🏾! An episode with a bit of everything....and music perfectly picked to match your walking adventure. The twists and turns of your camera paralleled the subject matter; first this, then that, and all of it deeply researched and presented as only you can. Thank you, as always 🙌🏾🫶🏾

Justin I’ve now watched all your videos, some twice, and I love them. Please make some more walking tour videos. They’re just fantastic. Perhaps at the Venice canals or something related to the beach boys houses or the doors. Movies like a nice guys, heat, LA story, Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive

A famous Korean actor lived in the Kurt house in the early 70s. Thanks for the video,watching it reminds me how much I miss the sunlight of socal.

FINALLY someone speaking well of both Kurt and Courtney! Most Kurt fans seem to think she killed him. I love them both too. I'm sure she isn't an easy person. A real shame that the house has been left in such disrepair that they will knock it down. I love it even without the link to them.

Hi, Justin!! I’m from E’Ville!!! I discovered your videos last week and I love them! You’re very gifted (and detailed) at your job! I love old Hollywood! I have a nephew that is out there (went to film school elsewhere). He’s a ‘camera’ man. 😁

The amount of research you do is astonishing. Are you reading off of a script?! Thanks for the update on the In Utero house. I was wondering if it was still there.
@TheJustinRootShow16 күн бұрын
Thank you!! No, I don't read off of any script otherwise I wouldn't ramble so much, lol. I do however make sure I have the specific dates in the "notes" on my phone and I'll look at them right before I record. It's pretty easy to know what you're going to talk about if you know the story you're going to tell, it's just that dates are the only thing I don't retain to well.

Philip Ahn was like the Dabbs Greer or the William Shallert of the movie industry. Very sad about the house being torn down. I agree there could be unknown reasons why the house has to come down. In the end it usually comes down to profit, which is another sad reason. Choosing a profit over preserving quailty history really hurts future generations. Thank You for the history lesson.

I’ve always loved the Ahn/Cobain house. I would have loved to have seen it when it was first built. It’s sad that the current owner wants to demolish it and build a new home, probably inconsistent with the style of others in the area. 😢

Nirvana had a song dealing with rape? That is messed up.
@TheJustinRootShow16 күн бұрын
"Rape Me" is actually an anti-rape song. There are lots of places you can read what Kurt said about the song, I'm sure even Wiki has an explanation. Also there's a video online of Kurt stopping one of their shows when he sees a guy groping a woman. Kurt has him kicked out. He was truly a good guy.
