Adamas Overpriced, ugly 70s gaudy design. Why do people like Gerald Genta design. Whats magnificent about it? Steel, boxy tv dial. Ugly ugly ugly. Marketing hype. Oh but its a porthole....looks like a toilet bowl shape.

Thank you very much indeed. A wonderful introduction to the Nautilus line for me. In fact, I am new to the entire Patel Philippe brand. I am certainly enjoying learning about the iconic Nautilus thanks to you. Absolutely no need to apologize for length of video.Cheers,Carl

You have the absolute best research on your ‘historic’ series videos than anyone. Great job! The only video of this type I enjoyed more (and have watched 5-6 times) is the one you did on the Seiko Diver history. Keep up the nice work bud! 👏🏼

Thank you for sharing the knowledge . I bought the 5711-011. Always thought the white dial is the best looking nautilus. Didn't know they considered the white option since 1978...

Great video Armand. Thank you. As for the length of your video I think a video is too long only when more is said than is needed. In this case case the length matches the content brilliantly. Very good job indeed.

hey Armand. first time view and great info. can you do a follow-up video on the movements of the mid sized jumbo 3800 reference? I believe the 335sc was in the early 3800 models however they lacked a Spiromax balance and also lacked the Geneva seal, this was then changed to the 330sc for the bulk of production I believe. can you confirm this? also, you mention the white dial was only available in the line-up when it was introduced in 2012 however, I have seen countless examples of 3800 with a white dial but what's odd is that on those particular models the patek philippe text sits noticeably higher than that of the common blue dial 3800 models. Is it possible to provide some insight on that? great video.

love it or hate it, not too many in the middle of the road on this one from the beginning through today. (now in the 5726 love it camp myself). Watched it all (5726 more than once) and didn't seem long to me. Thanks for the videos

My belief on the 40th anniversary series change in dial colors was to make it INSTANTLY recognizable as a 40th anniversary piece, in contrast to the originals...

Excellent comprehensive review as usual. Unfortunately an ugly over priced watch just like the Aquanaut. I don't get Gerald Genta design. Squarish 70s design which is as groovy as the Brady Bunch wood veneer station wagon or brown corduroy flares. If these designs were applied on a Seiko they would be hideous. But because its a Patek, its acceptable to love it? Wake up watch enthusiasts. I'm sorry I dont get it. A steel watch that costs more than $50k. Rape me and take my money Patek !!
