Mistress of Titus - Creator of Jesus?
This is a playful portrayal of the Caesar's Messiah theory by Joseph Atwill from the perspective of Titus Flavius's mistress Princess Berenice.
The character of Pliny the Elder is used instead of the historian Josephus. Mr. Atwill believes Josephus could be a pen name for Pliny the Elder.
Enjoy!

The real "Jesus" was Roman Emperor, Titus Flavius. Eleazar was the ACTUAL crucified Messiah (rebel leader of the Jews against the Romans). The whole fable was concocted with the help of Titus' mistress , Veronica. ALL these are historic facts written by Flavius Josephus in the Flavius Imperial Court.

This really does shed light on a very confusing period of history. As we all know the Gospels were not written as a reliable historic account of fact, but is an invented theology that contains several contradictions. In addition, in the Gospels attempt to use Old Testament scriptures has made numerous factual errors that have attempted to manipulate the facts to suit their theories. The problem being people prefer to cling to falsehood for the fear of the shattering of their illusions. The tragic outcome of the falsification and corruption of religious theology became a weapon as a means to replace Judaism that led to the Holocaust. And they Shall know the Truth and Truth Shall set you Free.

Another possibility would be Judas the Galilean who was crucified during the census of Cyrenius. Christ(os) and Iscariot are anagrams in Greek. So Jesus was the mixed up Sicarii. The literal translation is dagger-man but means terrorist or assassin. Who will betray me? Will it be John the Beloved, Peter (Simon) the Rock, or Judas the assassin?

First Century Christian books that tell us about Jesus: (1) Didache or Doctrine of the Twelve Apostles which all date around 70 AD; (2) Letter of Clement to the Corinthians (third successor of Peter and writes in 96 AD); (3) The letters of Ignatius of Antioch who was bishop from 70 to 107 AD. Note: (a) the whole of the literary tradition of the age of the Roman Empire up to the times of Tacitus and Suetonius has been lost; (b) in the Annals of Tacitus, one of the few works that have come down to us, the books of the period 29-32 AD are missing and the story of book 16 stops in the year 66 AD; (c) - the mass destruction carried out by Vespasian and then by Hadrian swept away all the archives of Jerusalem, therefore all the public documents including the trial and condemnation of Jesus, just as the archives of the Empire in Rome were destroyed in the repeated fires that occurred on the Capitol between AD 69 and 83. Having made this premise, we would expect that 'nothing' had come to us from the pagans of that historical period; but it is not so: - Tacitus (54-119), in the Annals, fire of Rome 64 AD: "Therefore, in order to put an end to this rumor, Nero invented guilty people and subjected to very refined punishments those whom the mob, detesting them because of their atrocities, he called Christians. The origin of this name was Christ, who under the empire of Tiberius had been condemned to execution by the procurator Pontius Pilate; and, momentarily dormant, this lethal superstition spread again, not only through Judea, the hearth of that disease, but also Rome ...". Tacitus did not write by hearsay, he obtained this information either from documents of the Senate or from the Consul Cluvium in function under Caligula. - The "Jesus case" arrives in the Senate of Rome in the year 35 AD, a few months after the execution of Christ, Pilate, Caiaphas and all the characters are still alive. He arrives there since Tiberius asked the Senate to legitimize the new "Christian" religion and therefore to recognize that Jesus as "god", eventually, legitimizing this new Jewish heresy was part of the imperial approach that had already been practiced with the Samaritans to emancipate them from guardianship Judaica and retain them in Rome. How does Sardis reach us, through Justin of Nablus who writes around 150 AD that there was a report from Pilate to Tiberius on the story of Jesus for which he referred his contemporaries to the imperial archives. Pilate then testified about the slain Galilean on the evening of April 7, AD30. - Tertullian in 197 AD reports "under whose reign [Tiberius] the Christian name made its entry into the world ... transmitted to the Senate, giving his first favorable vote, all that had been communicated to him from Syria Palestine and that demonstrated the truth about the divinity of Jesus. The Senate, not having itself verified these facts, voted against." for unlawful superstition. Tiberius also mocks the context, finding absurd the pagan idea that a god without the favorable vote of man would not have been such. - After the rejection of the Senate "Tiberius sent his legate Lucius Vitellius to the East with full powers, who in 36-37 deposed Caiaphas, the High Priest who presided over the Sanhedrin when Jesus was condemned to death, and recalled Pilate to Rome, as attested by the Jewish historian of the time Flavius Josephus (ant. Giud. XVIII, 89-90, 122) and also by Eastern sources independent of Tertullian.... And the Successor of Pilate deposed by Vitellius by order of Tiberius, Marcellus, it has the same name as the senator who would have hosted St. Peter in Rome according to the Acts of Peter, fol. 8 ss, an apocrypha of the 2nd century which however is based on ancient legends." - Abgar, Middle Eastern king allied with Rome. Letter exchange between Tiberius and Abgar known as the Black, datable to the year 36, "Abgar exhorts Tiberius to intervene against the Jews, to punish those responsible for the crucifixion of Christ, and Tiberius replies that he has already deposed Pilate and promises to take further measures against the Jews once the problems with the sons of Spain had been settled..." deeds deposited in the Royal Archives of Edessa, capital of Osroene (Syria). - Edict of Nero, found in Nazareth in 1878, marble stele 61 cm high, 38 wide, 22 lines, called diàtagma Ka (62 AD): "Edict of Caesar. It is my will that the sepulchres and tombs, of any type, made out of religious respect for ancestors, or children or relatives - remain inviolate forever. placed, thus offending the deceased themselves, or have moved the slabs or tombstones, against such persons I order that a trial be held, as one does - for contempt of the gods - against anyone who worships a human being. there is greater respect for the deceased. That absolutely no one is allowed to move the bodies that are buried. But if anyone does so, I order that the offender be sentenced to capital punishment on the charge of trespassing on tombs." Outrage to the gods, peri theon, de diis principal charge against the Christian hominis cultores. - The darkening of the sky at the death of Christ, Thallus, Samaritan freedman according to Flavius speaks of it, but the text has disappeared, Sextus Julius Africanus (50 AD) mentions it but this text has also been lost but is quoted in a work later, Giulio Africanus demonstrated how the naturalistic interpretation was wrong since there were no eclipses in the periods of full moon (Passover when Jesus was crucified); it is therefore spoken of at the level of the imperial court - Mara Bar Separion, Syriac Stoic of the 1st century "What benefit did the Athenians derive from the death sentence of Socrates, a crime they had to pay with famine and plague? Or those of Samos from having burned Pythagoras, since then Was their country in a moment buried by the sands? Or the Jews by the execution of their wise King, for they were despoiled of their kingdom from that time? In Justice God took vengeance on those three wise men. The Athenians died of hunger; those of Samos were submerged by the sea; the Jews were killed and driven from their land they live scattered everywhere. Socrates is not dead, thanks to Plato; nor Pythagoras, because of his statue of Hera; nor the wise King, thanks to the new teaching that he had imparted" - Flavius Josephus, Jewish Antiquities (18, 63-64), 93 AD, "Jesus lived in this time, a wise man, even if he is to be called a man. In fact, he performed extraordinary works and was the teacher of men who joyfully welcome the truth, and so he drew many Jews and also many Greeks to himself. He was the Christ. Even when, in denunciation of those among us who are the leaders, Pilate had him crucified, those who had loved him before did not stop loving him He appeared to them on the third day alive again, according to what the prophets had foretold about him all this and a thousand other wonders. To this day there is still the genus of those who have taken the name Christians from him." Flavio was born in 37, of a priestly family on his father's side and royal on his mother's side, this means that his relatives had been present during the vicissitudes of Christ, the text however was contested by the genius of Voltaire, therefore . .. - 1971, prof. Shlomo Pines Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 10th century Arabic codex, the Universal History of Agapius, bishop of Hierapolis, Syria, different version of the passage from Flavius: "At this time there lived a wise man Jesus. His conduct was good and was esteemed for his virtue. Many were those, among the Jews and other nations, who became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. But those who had become his disciples did not stop following his teaching. They reported that it had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive. Perhaps that is why he was the Messiah of whom the prophets have told marvels. You've been telling imbecility for 2000 years, please, stop the idiocracy.

The thing about that Josephus passage is that you’d think he would have written more than he did regarding (arguably) the most important human figure of all time. It’s not like Josephus to do that-that is to treat such a character of great importance with nothing else but a passing mention-so I tend to see the point of critics who say that such a random, out of the ordinary passage is likely a later insertion. That being said I’m not an expert on Josephus, I’m just a guy that likes old books.

@@Emanonerewhon Giuseppe Flavio, his natural parents, his family were well informed on the facts. It should come as no surprise that all documents relating to that period have been made to disappear. In the fourth century the hordes of Goths and Visigoths attacked Rome destroying and pillaging everything. What they did with the stolen treasures nobody knows. Northern Europe remained in barbarism without any social development or cultural growth. We all know who organized those populations and why. Same story with Jerusalem so, if it weren't for the Gospels, not even the Jews would remember it anymore. Where are the ancient texts, the people paid the tithe, they knew how to write, read, because nothing can be found anymore. A site like this, a film so rambling and false testifies to the satanic need to deny the existence of Christ. Satan's hatred against our humanity is immense.

Most people of today will just see that as a fear tactic, the assumption is and all caring all-knowing Creator would have just come out of the sky and reveal himself so that we as a collective mind here on the earth could just follow him without any confusion. I Peter 4:16 it was Tacitus who claimed that, who was only a child when Nero killed himself. Many historians now believe Nero was favoured by many Romans. After his death, he was claimed public enemy by the senate because they were routing for Galba. Chaos ensued (similar to that of Caesar’s murder) and thus was the year of the four emperors. Nero is often blamed to start the fires himself, and later historians claim he blamed it on Christians, like Tacitus, even though at the point of Nero’s death, no Jewish revolt had occurred. The Jews first revolted 66AD.

Playing with Dynamite All told, the scheme that Atwill attributes to Vespasian and his circle would seem to have a remarkably remarkably high chance of failure. One of the missionaries breaking under the pressure of a lynch mob and trying to exculpate himself by pointing to the Emperor would be all it could take to give the plan away. And if it did fail, the consequences would have been dramatic. Trying to subvert the Jewish religion is the very kind of thing that would cause a massive Jewish uprising. If the idea got out that the Romans were trying to get Jews to worship a false Messiah, it would have sparked an empire-wide rebellion that would have been far worse than the Jewish War of the A.D. 60s. Trying to pull off such a hoax would be playing with dynamite, and the Roman emperors would have been crazy to attempt such a hare-brained scheme.

@@JOEJOSEPHHones I think the Romans couldn't just wipe out jews. Not only because most of them lived in the middle east anyway, but also because it was a tradition for the Romans to allow locals do whatever they wanted unless they disturbed the social and political order. That is something that Christians kind of did. By refusing to bow down to emperors, it was a defiance that couldn't be tolerated. The Roman empire did obviously have an impact on Christianity but I don't think it is to the extent that they actually made up the entire story of Jesus.

@@glm6928 So if you don't think that the entire story of Jesus was made up, then answer me this question, why would there be so many different versions of Jesus? (because I know in different cultures, some think Jesus is white, some say he was black, some say he was a Muslim and some say he was a Jew. I've even heard people claim he was a socialist and sometimes labeled as a feminist which I mean doesn't make sense but okay.) I mean it's sort of like how everyone has their own different versions of what hell would look like, even though I haven't even died yet and plus I'm gonna be really honest with you though, I'm an agnostic theist but I've never even met nor seen an actual spiritual being before, so I really have no way of knowing whether or not there is a hell, for all I know, the afterlife is probably far more structured differently than what I was taught in a Christian Catholic Church, like you know, a simulation maybe, like some kind of Physical System where a player is controlling the world we're living in, but hey, that's just me I guess. But in all seriousness though, I wish believing in a God was easier to understand, but if we look back at Human History itself without reading any Religious Text, it paints a very different picture from what we're not being told about ourselves. If I ever do die someday, I will hopefully find the real truth for myself, heck I don't even need anyone to tell me anything, because I realized that the Religions are the very thing that hold humanity back so much to the point where we are chained down to the wall hoping for a glimpse of escape, but what the Christian Bible always says "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” And I'm free from all the lies that I've been told for far too long and I won't back down from their lies, any person who forces their beliefs on me, I will fight back until the bitter end. 😁👍

First of all, no caesar is going to write a new religion which will come into fruition 250 yrs later. The Romans were hedonists. They had sex with children, incest with their siblings, and wanted things here and now, not at some far off point in the future. Secondly, the Ancient Romans didn't write much of anything. They were physical violent over-sexed hedonists. When an ancient Roman library was recently unearthed, they discovered virtually all of the law books were written in Greek. The Roman Empire was an empire based on stealing and taking, on brute force and hedonism. They didn't contemplate or think on things, other than caesar knew the people loved Christ, and if it was obvious the Romans went and executed Christ, this would cause a revolution. Caesar was smart enough, in a small way, to have the Pharisees that he owned to go call for Christ's execution, so it would seem like the Jews themselves rejected Christ.

Your depiction of the Romans is absurd. Normal Romans were not hedonists, in fact they often looked down on polygamy and "Greek" sex. The emperor Augusts even implemented strict moral codes. The Roman aristocracy were often degenerate however, just like in the USA. Thus would it be accurate to depict Americans as degenerate because its leaders are debauched and warmongering. Your statements about Roman literature are also absurd. Go read Senca, Cisero, Seutoneus, and even Juvenile! Go read the stoic philosophers are you will see where many of the "sayings of Jesus" came from. If you want to find out more read about the "Son of Man" in the apocryphal book of Enoch...later removed, I wonder why?

I don't believe this story..the scriptures were written by the Hebrews and not Rome!..after Titus destroyed the temple in ad 70 what after that could he pacify the Jews with?..nothing!. GOD has not left us without a witness! But we all have choice to believe, so.e do and some don't. If the gospel is false then I'll just die like an unbeliever, but if it's true the i as a believer will live in his kingdom and those that believe not will perish! I just want to know why you "Christians" keep saying that we have a "choice" but once we say our "choice" is to decline or reject your "Christian Mithology" suddenly we are cursed and "going to hell" that doesn't sound like freedom of "choice" to me if punishment is the result for rejecting that abominable myth called "Christianity." Seriously, you Christians need to back the fuck up from people who don't believe in that abominable myth 😒

Hi Ricky. _The fear of GOD is the beginning of wisdom. What say you?_ Thanks for the question. Knowledge of reality and how it function is the foundation of truth for truth based, wise, living. Use of our senses gives us facts which founds knowledge of reality in which we live and move and have our being. (Note: reality is lord of all, for all things happen according to it's ways an laws.) There is not one conscious thought that can be had without previous sense experience. This shows the principle, (i.e. the foundational law) that all knowledge is derived from sense experience. Accepting knowledge as true on the basis of faith, rather than on the basis of sense experience, debases the mind to non-sense based thinking. This is unwise and as it is pointed to as a foundation of wisdom in your Fear of GOD statement, it shows itself to be foolish. For someone that considers the scriptures to be a true revelation of the true God this is impossible to accept without going through a long and genuine process which will enable the believer to truly see that they were mistaken. Anything else is just asking them to break integrity with what they believe without considering it reasonable. (You have to believe what you actually do ... until such a time knowledge you were not aware of shows it to be false in your own judgment.) It is only by challenging the truth of the bible and Jesus that their falseness can be exposed. This requires courage to test and prove all things, which is an instruction of the apostle Paul. When Jesus is the definition of truth in someone's mind then there is no way it can ever be false because they are locked into a mental self confirming definition. (Challenging a truth long assumed to be true is not a fearful thing, nor a thing to hold back from as truth cannot be changed and will come shining through all fair and honest tests and once tested it will be known more fully and as more reliable than ever. But if not tested, one's courage and the true total reliability of it will be in doubt. There is literally no place in the kingdom for cowards according to revelation 21 v 8.) The Creation is literally the manifest Word of the Creator. For example God said let the earth bring forth plants etc and it was so. When we use our senses and see nature we are literally seeing the manifest word of God. It shows in manifest reality the laws and ways of God. Anything that disagrees with consistent ongoing truths observed in reality is ... WRONG. By this test Jesus is an anti truth of the creator character defying what your own eyes, ears and hands testify as truth. For example we all see that we had a beginning in the stream of time and that we will die. This is the truth i.e. we are now taking part in our time of being a part of the eternal ongoing life of reality and we will have no other. Jesus inverts this truth, showing himself to be false by the measure of the sensible i.e. the tangible word of reality. Nothing that dies comes back to life, is observed to be true. There is no eternal life but the ongoing life of reality. ... BUT if you don't believe your own senses, which receive the truth of reality directly, you will not believe my words but will believe the lies in your imagination, that you now believe are reality but without being able to touch, see or hear it. The standard of a true messenger/apostle is given in 1 John 1 v 1. It is someone who testifies what they have seen with their own eyes, heard with their own ears and handled with their own hands. The above about death, resurection, wine water etc., I testify to you and your own senses also show it in that people cannot walk on water. Water cannot be changed to wine except by the process of going through a vine and being fermented, a few loaves and fishes cannot feed a multitude and so on. False witnesses pass on hearsay i.e. things they have not experienced with their own eyes, ears or tangibly touched. Such is the message of the gospel and the literary example of Jesus. That is what I say and it is what reality says as witnessed by my senses and yours. While there is only hearsay, the source of heresy, from those saying a fearful belief in God is the beginning of wisdom when it is the letting go of reality based sensible fact for non-sense which equates to foolishness.

Holy Spirit guides in to truth and makes the red line very clear. God stooped down in Christ to give us freely, by His own all atoning Holy Blood and indwelling Holy Spirit, the divine life back, the first Adam lost in the fall of man. God has already come full circle. Hence the healing miracles with Christians who understand....

God would never do that. Deuteronomy 24:16 specifically says that no man can die for another man's sin. Deuteronomy 12:31; 18:10 and Ezekiel 16:20 tells us that HIMAN SACRIFICE of any kind is an ABOMONATION to Him. Jeremiah 32:35, the Most High himself is telling us that it didn't even come to his mind that Israel should be commiting the abomination of sacrificing their children to other gods. Lastly, Malachi 3:6 tells us that the Most High says he is the Almighty and he changes not. So, why would he then change his mind and go back on his word, which he will never do, and send a son to die for the sins of others??

@@zemalou The fall of man requires a perfect sacrifice. The blood of goats covers sin for a short period. The blood of God in Christ, the perfect once and for all sacrifice, completely takes away sin, so we become the dwelling place of Holy Spirit again and can become like Him. Hence the healing miracles. It is God's resolution for the fall of man. Pure love, pure power. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. @@ToninoterRessort You never answered my question. Human sacrifice is an ABOMONATION to the Most High, who you keep saying is responsible for sending this christ to die for other men's sins. I also gace you scriptures where The Most High stated that no man can die for another man's sins. You gave me NT writings of a bunch of men, but you won't go back to the OT, where YAH is actually speaking Himself. Why? Why continue to worship an idol that even called YAH a devil???

@@zemalou Isaiah 53 is very clear all about Jesus. The lamb that was slain. There are at least around 55 references to Jesus in the OT. Google is helpfull with that. The "bunch of man" in the NT were eyewitnesses of the healing miracles, and walked in it themselves, just as I experience them. They heared Him explain it all. The Holy Blood of Christ, the perfect sacrifice for the fall of man, so Holy Spirit can indwell man again. His gift to us. The properties of Holy Spirit working through us (1 Cor 12) making us like Him. Paul summarizes it in Hebrews. 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. There is even more to it. It is midnight here. Bless and stay on contact. In the mean time ponder upon this resolve of God to restore us back to Gen 1:27. Amazing love, origin, purpose, destiny. Bless.

@@ToninoterRessort Isaiah 53 is NOT about no jesus. His name is not mentioned in the OT not one time. And in case you don't think I know why you're saying Isaiah 53 is about jesus, the Servant and the Elect that's in Isaiah 53, is not about jesus. That is about Jacob, Israel: Isaiah 45:4 [4]For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. Isaiah 41:8-9 [8]But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. [9]Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. Isaiah 43:1,10 [1]But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. [10]Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 44:1-2,21 [1]Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen: [2]Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. [21]Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. So now when you read the scriptures BEFORE Isaiah 53, you get the full context of WHO YAH'S servant is. It is Jaco, Israel. Not no jesus. You Christians all do the same thing, you cherry pick scriptures from the OT to make your jesus make sense, violating Proverbs 30:6. You have no love or regard for the Most High and he is the one keeping you in your delusions of this jesus. I guarantee you that YOU, yourself have never raised the dead. You're a follower and believer of Jesus right? So you should be able to raise the dead. And I don't wanna hear about no...have enough faith, spiritual, DBZ power level bullshit. You should be able to do these things with ease RIGHT NOW! I will use your own book against you: John 14:12 [12]Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. This is what your god says. Notbonly that, if you believe in jesus, YOU ARE REQUIRED to believe you are equal to YAH: Philippians 2:5-6 [5]Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6]Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: When clearly, there is NONE EQUAL TO YAH: Isaiah 40:25 [25]To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. Isaiah 46:5 [5]To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? Isaiah 44:8 [8]Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. Then again, the Most High has you fooled and lingering in your delusions. You keep believing in your fairytales and making excuses for the lies you believe. You cannot raise the dead, drink poison without dying, heal the sick, etc under the name of your false god jesus. Feel free to respond if you want, but I already know you're going to keep going to the NT to try to prove your point about a false idol, who you say was mentioned in the OT, but never go to the OT to show where he is.
