Only story I've heard of Flair fighting anyone was with Eric Bischoff. Flair said he beat up Bischoff and then pinned him on a couch and was about to rip his eyeball out but was pulled off by people. Bischoff says he was talking on the phone with his wife when Flair walked in with Coachman and Arn Anderson, then started screaming about wanting to rip his eyeball out over money, threw some working punches, and left. lol

Was a huge Ric Flair fan for years. Lost a lot of respect for him in the last couple of years. He acts like a total jerk. As my late grandmother would say, “I wish I could buy him for what he’s worth and sell him for what he THINKS he’s worth.”

I am still a fan of the old days. Suffice it to say Ric does not deserve the second chance at life he was given. Zero humility. We had a chance to meet him at Pensacon in 2016, I told my daughter “he used to be great, I don’t want to meet a cunt alcoholic” Didn’t even meet Foley, cause Flair was all over him. I think Dutch was moved out when Flair and Hogan came to TNA, but Flair seemed to be there to work. Even at 60, he could put the majority of the roster to shame re in-ring psychology. It was quite noticeable opposite the first proper generation of flippy guys. He put everyone they asked him to put over as manager. I'd say he seemed like the perfect team player. Hogan, on the other hand, was clearly there to get one last big pay. He could scarcely move... and still threw his weight around when it came to the booking of the company (and brought in a bunch of his mates). Big difference. Flair was also underpaid in WCW '97-'01. Compare what he was making to the top guys, and compare what he was doing in the ring opposite most of those guys. No contest. He probably brought the most value to the company. He has said that he had lost his confidence at the time. No confidence; still a hell of a talent in that ring. This arsehole stuff seems to really have mushroomed after he retired.

When they were talking about David, did the actually mean Reid?
@samspurgeon42225 ай бұрын
No, it was David. Sadly, Reid would have made a great wrestler I think, he was a very accomplished young wrestler and his athletic ability would have helped him. David had no athletic ability at all to draw on that I could tell. Unfortunately, Reid had some demons that took him way too young, and I have a feeling that a lot of Ric's over drinking and behavior problems might stem from the loss of his son. I doubt he'd ever admit it, but when you lose a child, it affects you, even if he had those problems before. Looking back on Flair's life, he's had more terrible mental traumas than a lot of people know, realize, or remember. Then again, maybe they do and it explains why so many always seem to give him a pass for things that usually gets anyone else in trouble.
