Every high school in New Zealand has their own haka and each one is different. I am 32 yrs old and still remember our school haka. Haka is preformed in our national sports teams, Army, Police etc. it is Maori culture that has well evolved in modern Aotearoa (New Zealand) society… kiwis!

Back in my High School days I loved my teachers and was taught by my parents to respect them, and they always helped us when we needed it but didn't baby us. Plus with a few cases of bullying that happened they literally stopped it and cursed them out, dam it was funny seeing some rancher rich boy be cursed out by my teacher. In my senior year in my welding and woodworks class I made a shield for the school made with school colors and such and abbreviated the Schools name at the center and they still have it. And a few years after graduation my freshman friends now Seniors that were on the either basketball or football they main man like the quarterback wore the shield I made running onto the field. So just to let you guys know at least me I always respected my teachers, wish you guys would get more praise

During WW2 and in the Korean + Vietnam campaigns, Maori soldiers would often perform a Haka before going into battle. You can Google the Battle of Crete for photos. It was mainly tough hand to hand combat and they were fearsome warriors.
