Sometimes I wonder about the things people say . . .often they are things you should probably keep to yourself! But I suppose some people have no sense of boundaries.

I deal with A LOT of people like this, so I think my bar for what is "weird" and what is "scary" is pretty skewed. I very rarely feel uncomfortable around people like this, I think just because I have to deal with them so often. I really truly believe it's a talent to be able to deal with people saying batshit crazy things and interact completely normally with them. However, I understand what you mean! Some of my friends who have less experience with people like this sometimes find it odd or uncomfortable to deal with these kinds of situations.

Andy Garrett That's the thing though. There is no security. I work by myself, so it's my job to deal with the weirdos, then get them out of the store.

I find that as a person who dresses differently that weird ass people often say weird ass crap to me..perhaps my oddity makes then feel more comfortable or something? i guess i am a weirdo magnet as well!

I sometimes get the weirdos too, I'm not sure what it is... Maybe it's because they think we are like them? I mean yeah, I'm weird, but usually it's not the same type of weirdo that comes up to me to talk to me... Sometimes I think men think just because I look different that I must be interested in a different type of person? While that is probably true, portly and nondescript is still not my thing LOL... That and they all seem to think I have/know where to get pot... Which I of course don't...

It's true, the guy was really weird! I am glad that I told the story in such a way that you could see him in your head; it's always hard to relate your personal experiences in such a way that other people can "see" it too.

Not to be misunderstood but Just wanted to say something about you makes me feel like you are so trustworthy and respectable. If i was gonna meet with you i would do anything not to make you uncomfortable and i would probably feel really comfortable myself around you. You have a really nice personality.

Well thank you so much! I pretty much just am who I am and people can take it or leave it! I think people should always be themselves; it's just easier that way. It's also pretty hard to make me uncomfortable; in my line of work, I meet all sorts of people (some of them being weirder than others obviously). But I think it's almost becoming a lost art to be able to interact with people easily; too many people these days are glued to their phones and have lost the skills to be able to deal personably with others. I will be forever grateful to my drama classes for that, if nothing else

I believe that! My store is next to a Salvation Army Community Services and food bank place. They tell me stories about the weirdos that come in there too. I think it's just something that comes with dealing with the public, that you get occasional very strange and rude people.
