Your band looks brand new. Mine is really worn in. As I've worn it, the tan leather has darkened in the areas where it gets touched often from daily wear. I've had my Flieger Klassik automatic for almost a year now and I'm still impressed with the quality. Stowa is a very honest, no nonsense company. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

For sure, the watch is brand new / Lightly used and I was wearing it on a rubber band mostly , but swapped to the stock for the vid, def a great brand.

My original tan leather band looks much better now than it ever did when it was new. And it's as comfortable as a pair of old sneakers.

Very good Intro - I'm proud to say, that I own one of the Flieger 40 Pilot watches which came out in 2007 in a limited edition of only 80 pieces. Love this watch.

Great review and thank you for pronouncing the brand name correctly! I have a 6.75” wrist and prefer smaller watches and I’m having a tough time deciding between this 40mm or the 36mm Flieger.

I own the exact same watch (manual wind 40mm), although I bought the no logo version to keep it looking exactly as it did in the days of the Luftwaffe.

@@emilianoortizrodriguez9487 Yes, I still love this watch. Nothing has changed whatsoever. I don't wear it every day because I rotate about 6 watches but it's definitely one I will never sell. If you're thinking about buying one, just do it. Classy piece of kit and you'll love the way the long second hand sweeps across the dial right to the edge. Onion crown is cool too.

Great review. Stowa is in a unique class (not forgetting Laco of course) taking the route of offering a real throwback to the original, instead of crossing into the luxury market like IWC, while having similar heritage to boot. I'd pay twice the amount of the Stowa Flieger for the extra features IWC offers, but not four times.

Very well said, you know your fliegers well. Stowa is my favorite as well as IWC when it comes to Fliegers although IWC is a bit pricey for what you actually get

@@pamusso1466 This isn't completely true, Laco uses Miyota movements for some of their cheaper versions of the Flieger but still uses ETA movements for the higher end watches

@@pamusso1466 Laco have two Flieger versions. Their 'original' series are ETA movements, their 'basic' pilots range have Miyota movements. I own both ETA Stowa and Laco fliegers. Both are comparable quality. If anything I favour the Laco.

40MM - more traditional go hand wound - both movemrnts function wonderful

I have a 42mm Type B Flieger. Right size for a pilot watch. Comes in sapphire glass, heated blue hands and ENAMEL Dial! The Blue lume is brighter than my hulk and it has screw-down crown! With NH35 work-horse giving me plus 2 sec per day. Price-139USD!

@@WatchAddictionReviews Hei, it's a homage made in China. I bought it from the same co. that sold me the Merkur 6105 8110, the Seiko homage which is an exact replica. The blue lume is really nice. It actually has ceramic bezel for 179USD. It has the caliber 611 which is a mod NH35. I have -2sec for this watch.

“Only 50 meters” LOL... Isn’t it funny how the diver watch industry has warped all our minds? What I mean is - think about it, 50 meters! That’s 164 feet, who watching this video is going diving 164 feet deep?? How many of the 12.3K views are even diving at all?? This thing could be water resistant to 50 feet and that would be just dandy.

Well in practic it is moore like maybee 5 meter, but do not go fast, or hot to cooled! Otherwise I agree how many dive below 2 m with a watch. But even dive watch can leak.

Dude...50m doesnt stand for "you can go 50m under water" :D ...50m stands for waching hands, showering and light swimming in a pool! 100m - 200m stands for snorkeling and 200m and above stands for diving....
