Some may think this is a long time but Straddle front lever in less than 2 years is very good in my experience! Thank you for making a realistic video

It felt even longer while I was working on it!

Very insightful! I really like the notion of building basic raw strength first and then adding specificity. It may be more monotonous, but it is also far more effective

This is why I love his channel. Realistic time from somebody who isn't just a 15 year old who learns planche in a week

Thanks for posting a realistic video. Most videos nowadays give people unrealistic expectation in a short amount of time

Agreed! Hoping this will help motivate people that the struggle is worth it 👊🏿

Awesome progress, I’m working towards full front lever using bands but it’s been years of progression. It’s nice seeing a more realistic progression, rather than the “zero to full in 3 months” that we see all too often (which are still amazing, but not everyone will do the same)

Cheers Mark! And yeah I get triggered by those videos too... It is possible, I know, but for people who aren't students, or train legs or weigh 35KGs, the reality is that more advanced skills will take longer. 👊🏿

Eyyy glad I could help bro! What caused the hernia tho? Hope you recover soon!
@CaliToTheCrowd
@CaliToTheCrowd 15 күн бұрын
It was your recommendation that caused it!!! 😡😡😡 Just kidding 🤣 I went a bit to hard on an ab wheel rollout at the end of a training session. Was silly of me really 😭 Hope you're all good!!! 💪🏿

Have you tried half lay straddle? That teaches me the open hip position really well.
@CaliToTheCrowd

Yeah I tried that with my front lever raise progressions, but ultimately banded straddle was what did it for me 💪🏿

I had a hernia repaired almost exactly a year ago (umbilical). I haven't had any issues since and it took me about 3 months before I was back to my full routine (incl. front lever + planche training). Do you know what method will be used to repair it yet? I had mine done robotically and I hear it helps with recovery time and healing overall. Good luck!

Glad you've had such a full recovery!!! I have an ingruinal hernia, but because of the size of it, I don't think keyhole surgery will be an option but I'll have to see. Comments like this are encouraging to read though, and give hope that this will only be a minor set back 👊🏿

That's crazy!! First of all huge congrats on your front lever - I am of course super jealous! 😅 On the point of the back lever, have you spent much time training it? I would assume that you'd have the strength to do it, you may simply need the shoulder mobility and joint conditioning down

@@CaliToTheCrowd Thanks for your response ! I trained a lot front lever with band and front lever with 1 leg. For the back lever, I do negatives and straddle hold, but I can't hold the full back lever for more than 3 seconds while I can hold the front lever for 10 seconds

Bruh, I can hold better a advanced tuck back lever and I'm starting to train to hold a adv tuck front lever, I've been training pure reps and now I'm doing 360 pull and holds

So long for a straddle Front Lever!!! I'm sorry, but I have 3 months Basics Calisthenics and than I locked the Front Lever. No straddle progression and anything else. I do now Dragon Flags for my Front Lever Training ( Supi Wide grip Front Lever). I love Skills Training. My goal is Maltese 💪🏽. Good job young Calister 👍🏾✌🏾
