Hey Natalie! It’s a great routine, how many times a week would you recommend doing it? Do I need to take rest days from stretching?
@NatalieReckert3 жыл бұрын
Try doing this 5 times a week. Take one or two days off, for stretching rest days are not so important for your body, but I think for the mind it is useful.

Natalie I just wanted to ask, what are the limiting factors that stops me from spreading my legs wide apart in a seated straddle position? I mean, I can do it properly, like sit straight, no rounding of the back, anterior pelvic tilt, and all that, but I just can't seem to spread my legs wider apart. Lol I've been doing some middle splits routine on the side thinking that that may help

Mhh, interesting thank you for your question. My guess is that the muscles than run along the inside of the legs are shortened. How about squats? also: have you tried rotating the legs out in the straddle and, engaging the quads and flexing the feet to help?

@@NatalieReckert ooh yea I'm feeling some kind of tightness on the insides of my legs! Yup, I always keep tension in my quads, point my feet up in the sky, and press my legs into the ground. But lately my straddle has been better, I guess I just really have to give it more time! Thanks natalie!!

Came here from your comments on Day 22 of the Couch to Handstand challenge. Thanks for this! Random question - what is the song in the background of this video? It's so familiar but I can't remember!

How in the world are your heels lifting off of the ground in the straddle position? 😲 Does that take effort for you to do that or is it just happening naturally at this point?
@NatalieReckert4 жыл бұрын
It depends a bit on the anatomy of your knee and joints. It does not happen for everyone. Try to focus on just straightening the leg and flex your foot, that will help :)
