I feel extremely fortunate to have witnessed the beautiful phenomenon that was Straitjacket Fits, live whenever they were in Sydney. I'll never forget the aural celebration of the band's wall of gorgeous sound. Wow I wished it could never end.

We never had it so good. I was lucky to be in my late teens-early '20's as Flying Nun music was peaking, so many great gigs, such great people, and always - the music. NZ music is in the doldrums these days.
