I think the best part, besides the gentleman holding the umbrella for his lady, was both of them helping pick up all the gear. Very cool that they got out of the city for some vacation, and didn't have it spoiled by a bill. And I'm pretty sure they'll pay it forward. You're a good man, Casey. Don't ever change.

I think that's just you. Because I felt as if he simply couldn't believe he got a free service from a company he called out for. I don't think there was ever a time where somebody called for a tow service and believed it was free without hesitation. He paused to think of a way of paying him, to deny his free service, not figuring out Casey's scheme.

Here in Saudi Arabia, we have rescue and tow teams like "Enjad." People in our community are voluntarily providing these services for free. Every time a tourist calls for a rescue or tow service, they often insist on paying, but the team and organization are dedicated to working without charge, simply helping lost and stranded individuals in the desert.

As someone who is called when things go bad, it makes sense that some tools, like traction boards, will be near useless by the time someone needs your help. That said, traction boards often give the normal off roader that little bit they need so that they don't need to call in someone like you.

I have been saved by a Jeep in my F150 XLT Long Bed going over a jump off the side of the freeway. LOL. He said he saw me on his way home, got me unstuck in 20 seconds. He was part of a recovery team on a local Facebook group. He did not want my money, just to help. Thank you to him and all the rest of you great people out there!

When I ran with the TT out of Lynnwood I carried traction boards for years. Ended up using them twice, once in the snow and once in the mud. When they are the right thing they work awesome, the rest of the time they just take up space.
